As a music therapist i really wanna add some variety in the musical instruments we use, and i right now when i choose one i only have two things in mind: being easy to play and creating a beautiful sound effortless.
This kalimba nails it, it's a great start, it doesn't require musical education and it can fit easily in both children's hands and mine. I hesitated before buying this cause i'm chubby and i have short nails and i was afraid i couldn't use it, but turns out it's fine! definitely gonna buy more !

Beautiful materials and pristine sound

Really pleasant, pure tones from the steel tongues. These are thankfully not permanently fixed, so you can tune them ad hoc if you need to change key or re-tune.

The wood is really beautiful; You can tell it's not a veneer but solid hardwood, and the tree of life etching just makes it all the nicer to handle.

This would be a really enjoyable addition to any level of kalimba player as a very portable and affordable instrument with a pristine timbre.

Good quality for the small thing!

I bought this kalimba for my 4-y-o daughter, because of its small size. It is a bit uncomfortable for bigger hands to manage, but perfect for a child. The wooden part is smooth and nicely finished, the notes sound accurate. The sound is of course rather quiet, but without a soundbox it cannot be otherwise. The instrument makes a soft mellow sound and is fun to play with. A good excercise for fingers and brain coordination as well!

das ding ist echt winzig: 73mm x 54mm x 29mm. leider war mein exemplar nicht wirklich sauber gestimmt. naja, war nicht ganz einfach das zu korrigieren, aber das muss man ja sowieso lernen ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ darum auch kein punkteabzug.
