The Mackie Thump12v4/Thump15Sv4 Power Bundle brings it all together – two Thump12v4 active loudspeakers, two Thump15Sv4 active subwoofers, two Roadworx Multi Pole distance rods, and two pro snake TPM 2.5 XLR cables – a fully integrated stereo sub/top system ready to deploy. The Thump12v4 tops deliver 129dB SPL across 34Hz-20kHz (-10dB), while the Thump15Sv4 subwoofers extend the system down to 27Hz (-10dB) and contribute up to 132dB of dedicated low-frequency output. SoundCheck DSP provides four voicing modes, a feedback eliminator, music ducking, and outdoor mode across the tops, while the subwoofers' high-pass presets and alignment delay handle the crossover integration. The robust yet lightweight composite enclosures and integrated handles keep both tops and subs manageable for regular transport.

Precisely matched

Adding dedicated subwoofers to a PA system isn't just about more bass – it removes low-frequency strain from the tops, allowing them to deliver greater clarity and projection in the mid and high frequencies. The Thump15Sv4's high-pass presets include a dedicated Thump 12 setting (140Hz crossover) that divides the signal cleanly between subs and tops, with 1.4ms alignment delay across all modes ensuring the low-end arrives in step with the mid and high frequencies. A variable level control on each subwoofer runs from muted to +6dB for precise output matching, and stereo and mono summing modes support both single and dual subwoofer configurations. Working together, the system delivers a clean, well-balanced frequency response with ample headroom for mid-sized indoor and outdoor events.

At the touch of a button

The Thump12v4's DSP tools remain fully functional in this expanded configuration. The voicing modes do useful work alongside the subwoofers: Live mode emphasises the midrange for speech intelligibility; DJ mode shapes the low end for music playback, working in concert with the Thump15Sv4's output for a punchy yet precise result. The feedback eliminator and music ducking remain relevant for presentations and hosted events – monitor use naturally becomes less relevant in a system centred around dedicated subwoofers. Bluetooth streaming and wireless speaker linking are built into each top, with full remote control via the Thump Connect 2 app, keeping the system manageable from a distance during setup or performance.

About Mackie

In 1988 Greg Mackie, already a successful co-founder of a pro audio company, founded Mackie Designs Inc. with the goal of producing affordable, high-quality mixers. The company's first official product, the LM-1602 line mixer, was initially produced within the four walls of his home. As sales figures were encouraging, its successor model CR-1604 soon followed - and in 1991 the company finally moved into its first proper production facility. The combination of reliable quality and low prices quickly brought the company enormous success, so that by 1995 Mackie had already sold 100,000 products. In 2003, the company was renamed LOUD Audio, LLC so that there is no longer any confusion between the Mackie brand and its former parent company of the same name.

The Roadworx Multi Pole distance rods mount each Thump12v4 top directly above a Thump15Sv4 subwoofer, adjustable between 0.88m and 1.36m, with upper and lower ends compatible with both 35mm pole mounts and M20 fittings; the pro snake TPM 2.5 XLR cables connect the signal chain cleanly between subs and tops. The complete system deploys without requiring any additional components and packs down efficiently for transport. The front LEDs on both tops and subs can be switched off for discreet installations.
