The Mackie ProFX6v3+ is an analogue mixer built with a smart set of ingredients. It comes with a maximum sampling rate of 24‑bit/192 kHz, excellent Onyx preamps and, most interestingly, a bidirectional Bluetooth interface that can bring audio like phone calls straight into the mix. Thanks to its 2×4 USB configuration, it can operate as a dedicated recording interface, as a loopback device, or as a full stereo‑sum feed directly into the computer. The ProFX6v3+ offers two mic inputs, both of them equipped with low‑noise, clip-resistant Onyx preamps that provide a clean, uncoloured signal with up to 60dB of headroom – enough to give even gain‑hungry dynamic microphones a solid level to work with. And for anyone using a condenser microphone, the obligatory phantom power is right where it should be.

My aim is true

To make everyone's workflow when recording audio as efficient as possible, that's pretty much what the Mackie ProFX6v3+ seems to be aiming for. And it gets it spot on: It's equipped with both high-shelf and low-shelf EQs for shaping the tone, and the mixer also includes two small push‑buttons that drop either a compressor or the entire effects section into the signal path. The compressor runs with a fixed 6:1 ratio and a variable threshold. It's clear the ProFX6v3+ has been primarily designed with podcasters and the like in mind; the compact desk unit offers a single headphone output, carrying everything fed into channels 1 through 6. Alongside the phones level control, there's a blend knob that allows smooth fading between the sum of the inputs and the two USB inputs. As this signal is routed solely to the headphones, it works perfectly for DAW‑based workflows.

Small, but perfectly formed

Bloggers, podcasters, streamers, influencers, DJs, home‑studio hobbyists, and indeed plenty of other users can refine their sound with the high‑resolution GigFX+ effects and 12 presets, all of which can be edited and saved via the large LCD screen. Blending the warmth of an analogue mixer – thanks to the acclaimed Onyx microphone preamps – with the precision of digital effects, the Mackie ProFX6v3+ is a perfect fit for home studios and live events alike. With up to 60dB of gain and extremely low self-noise, the interface delivers reliably clean audio, whether it's capturing podcasts, streaming games, or producing the next big track. On top of all that, this compact powerhouse is just as solidly built as every other Mackie device, despite its disarmingly small footprint: At just 190×74×213mm, it'll fit comfortably on any desk and slip easily into any gigbag.

About Mackie

In 1988 Greg Mackie, already a successful co-founder of a pro audio company, founded Mackie Designs Inc. with the goal of producing affordable, high-quality mixers. The company's first official product, the LM-1602 line mixer, was initially produced within the four walls of his home. As sales figures were encouraging, its successor model CR-1604 soon followed - and in 1991 the company finally moved into its first proper production facility. The combination of reliable quality and low prices quickly brought the company enormous success, so that by 1995 Mackie had already sold 100,000 products. In 2003, the company was renamed LOUD Audio, LLC so that there is no longer any confusion between the Mackie brand and its former parent company of the same name.

Keep it clean

The low‑cut filter on the Mackie ProFX6v3+ functions more or less like a high‑pass at 100Hz; for a compact mixer like this, a high‑pass filter is an extremely useful tool, helping to trim away unnecessary frequencies and interference, and giving a better signal‑to‑noise ratio even at higher levels. A high‑pass filter at 100Hz doesn’t mean that everything below that point is cut off entirely; those frequencies are reduced gradually at a defined rate. On the Mackie ProFX6v3+, that rate is 18dB per octave, meaning that 50Hz is reproduced 18dB lower than 100Hz. To make it easy to get started straight away, an OEM version of the Waveform software – a genuinely capable DAW – is included. With all these features, alongside its straightforward connectivity, analogue warmth, and upgraded effects engine, the Mackie ProFX6v3+ is ready to serve as the perfect centrepiece for any home studio.

The best mini audio interface and mixer

Very decent sound quality in both live and recording applications. Very versatile of having XLR, 1/8, 1/4 Jack mono and stereo input. This plus version with Bluetooth input is definitely my favourite features. FX is good to have and I don't use it. The only negative comment for me is the design of the firmware. As an audio interface, I prefer its default computer output map to channel 1/2 instead of 3/4. It causes me sometime to configure various software for playback audio.

Great little mixer

Surprisingly good quality at this price point works great and surprising clean and crisp sound and packed with lot of features.The Bluetooth connectivity is a plus, makes it easy to play along with songs on my phone through the system. Basically plug-n-play that easy to use and sounds great.

Même pas 3 semaines après l'achat de cette console et une fréquence d'utilisation même pas quotidienne que mon DAW me notifie soudainement de changements erratiques de connexions/déconnexions audio. À la moindre vibration de la console, la connexion sautait. J'ai donc retourné le produit.

_ la fonction bluetooth
_ les effets temporels (reverb, echo, etc.) incorporés

Les - :
_ la fragilité du port USB-C
_ les pré-amplis sont assez bruyants
_ fuite audio perceptible lorsque le potar du volume du casque est au minimum
_ les boutons ne semblent vraiment pas solides car ils bougent beaucoup

Maximale Sampling-Rate, gute Preamps, und eine bidirektionale Bluetooth-Schnittstelle, mit der man Telefongespräche in den Mix intergrieren kann und schließlich 2x2 USB Rückkanäle (USB 1-2 und 3-4), nutzbar als reines Recording-Interface, als Loopback oder mit der Gesamtsumme in den Rechner: Herz was willst du mehr?
Das fällt mir zuerst eine brauchbarere als die USB-C-Buchse auf der Rückseite ein. Sie verliert bei der kleinsten Berührung des Gehäuses den Kontakt. Des Weiteren lässt die Qualität der Potis zu wünschen übrig. Nach einem Jahr Nutzung bekam eines der Kanal-Potis erste Kontaktprobleme.
Der dritte Punkt: den USB 1-2-Kanal kann man nur auf die Kopfhörer legen, nicht aber auf den Main Out. Wenn man den Rechner auf den Main-Out legen will, geht das nur über USB 3-4, dann allerdings anstelle der analogen Eingänge 3-4.
Die FX-Sektion ist anständig, aber insgesamt eher ein Gimmick für die Content Creator*in.
