Mackie's ProFXv3+ series builds on the trusted legacy of the original ProFX range, delivering reliable, professional-grade USB mixers – enhanced with modern tools for today's content creators and performers. Designed for real-world use across home studios, rehearsal rooms, live-streams, and small venues, each model features high-resolution 24-bit/192kHz USB-C recording, editable GigFX+ effects, Mackie's signature Onyx mic preamps, and latency-free monitoring via dual USB returns. As the largest model in the v3+ lineup, the ProFX12v3+ offers seven mic inputs, multiple stereo channels, expanded routing with aux sends and subgroups, and dedicated monitor and FX busses. This added flexibility makes it a strong choice for more complex live setups, multi-mic recording, and hybrid studio workflows where hands-on control and connectivity are equally important.

Onyx at the core

The Mackie ProFX12v3+ is equipped with seven Onyx microphone preamps, each offering up to 60dB of clean gain with low noise and ample headroom for vocals, acoustic instruments, and dynamic sources. All mic channels feature a 3-band EQ, switchable 48V phantom power, and 100Hz low-cut filters, while channels 1–4 also include one-knob compression and Hi-Z inputs for direct instrument connection. Sound shaping is supported by the GigFX+ engine, providing editable reverbs, delays, and modulation effects that can be adjusted and stored via the full-colour LCD. Effects can be routed flexibly across the mix and muted instantly via a dedicated button or optional footswitch. A stereo 1/8" input on channels 11/12, along with bi-directional Bluetooth, accommodates mobile devices, backing tracks, or call-in audio with minimal setup.

Where it fits best

With its higher channel count and more advanced routing, the Mackie ProFX12v3+ is well suited to small bands, rehearsal spaces, project studios, and live productions that demand greater control over monitoring and submixes. Dual aux sends and subgroups allow separate monitor mixes, external processing, or grouped signal control, while dedicated monitor and FX busses support more involved stage or studio layouts. Whether acting as the main mixer for a band, a recording front end for multi-source sessions, or a central hub for hybrid live and streaming setups, the ProFX12v3+ balances traditional hands-on mixing with contemporary workflows. It's designed for users who have outgrown compact formats and need room to manage more sources – without stepping into full-scale console territory.

About Mackie

In 1988 Greg Mackie, already a successful co-founder of a pro audio company, founded Mackie Designs Inc. with the goal of producing affordable, high-quality mixers. The company's first official product, the LM-1602 line mixer, was initially produced within the four walls of his home. As sales figures were encouraging, its successor model CR-1604 soon followed - and in 1991 the company finally moved into its first proper production facility. The combination of reliable quality and low prices quickly brought the company enormous success, so that by 1995 Mackie had already sold 100,000 products. In 2003, the company was renamed LOUD Audio, LLC so that there is no longer any confusion between the Mackie brand and its former parent company of the same name.

Hook it up

The Mackie ProFX12v3+ doubles as a 2-in/4-out USB-C audio interface, capturing the main mix at up to 24-bit/192kHz resolution while providing two independent stereo returns from the DAW. USB-C enables three recording modes, each suited to a specific task: Standard records the full mix with effects, Interface sends a clean signal from channels 1/2 to the DAW, and Loopback blends computer audio into the mix for live-streaming or voice-over work. A front panel blend knob makes it easy to balance inputs and playback for latency-free monitoring. Bluetooth adds another layer of practicality, bringing backing tracks or call-in audio straight into the mix. The mixer ships with Waveform OEM and the DAW Essentials Collection, a complete recording and production toolkit featuring 16 professional plug-ins covering EQ, compression, reverb, delay, and modulation.

Ej den kvalitet jag förväntade mig och tyvärr ångrar jag mitt köp.
Mixern har på pappret alla bra funktioner man kan tänkas behöva, men eq´n är väldigt känslig, effekterna är av låg kvalitet och låter inte alls bra, dessutom känns det som om effekterna "duckar" och du kan höra dem när du testar t.ex en mikrofon men när flera ljudkällor är inkopplade är det som att de försvinner och inte hörs.

Ein gutes Amateur-Gerät mit Schwächen in den Effekten

Ich habe das Pult vor kurzem gekauft und bin im Grundsatz sehr zufrieden. Es ist übersichtlich, die angebotenen Anschlüsse sind vielfältig. Insbesondere das integrierte Bluetooth-Modul ist super, um spontan Abspielgeräte einzubinden.

Die integrierte Effektsektion ist aber bzgl. des Reverb-Effekts NICHT zu empfehlen. Dieser klingt immer sehr künstlich, als ob er aus vielen kleinen Delays zusammengesetzt würde. Die Einstellmöglichkeiten helfen nicht dabei, den Klang zu verbessern. Die anderen Effekte sind zwar besser, werden aber auch deutlich seltener gebraucht. Schade!
