Capable of handling SPLs of up to 143dB at 0.5% THD, the microphone's dynamic range is further extended with a three-level attenuator offering pad settings of -6, -12, and -18dB. This ensures distortion-free recordings even when capturing loud sources such as drums or guitar amplifiers. A three-position low-cut filter (40Hz, 150Hz, and 300Hz) further refines attenuation levels, with steeper slopes at the lower settings to eliminate rumble and more gradual slopes at higher frequencies to manage proximity effect.
