Slim and stable mic stand

With the 26145 from the Topline series, the long‑established German company K&M offers vocalists an easy‑to‑handle microphone stand equipped with a telescopic boom arm. Height adjustment is carried out using the locking collar on the stand's adjustable main tube. Its heavy cast-iron round base provides a stable footing, complementing the robust steel construction: Together, this ensures that the K&M 26145 delivers usability and durability, both over the years on stage as well as during transport from show to show.

Quick and easy to adjust

The K&M 26145 can be adjusted to a height of 1 to 1.7 m using the locking collar (or twist clutch): Once the desired height is set, the collar can be tightened simply by turning it. The telescopic boom arm allows any singer or musician to set up their microphone to suit the sound source exactly, all with easy to use screw clamps. The mic itself can be attached to the end of the boom using any standard microphone clip with a 3/8" threaded connection (not included). The K&M 26145 does, however, ship with a black cable guide to ensure there's never too much strain on the mic cable.

The K&M 26145 is particularly well suited for all vocalists and instrumentalists who perform standing up and thus require a reliable, extremely stable microphone stand with a small footprint. Its special design enables users to adjust the height noiselessly, even mid-song, and the flexibly adjustable boom arm allows the mic to be positioned precisely whatever the sound source. The K&M 26145 weighs 6.2kg, and can be transported in the K&M 26019, a water‑repellent carrying bag made of tear‑resistant nylon fabric, which can accommodate up to three of the manufacturer's round‑base stands. In addition to three internal pockets for the bases, this bag features padded carrying handles and an adjustable shoulder strap that ensures comfortable transport.

About K&M

Founded in 1949, König & Meyer (K&M) initially produced music stands and measuring tools. Just two years later, the range was expanded to include instrument stands and microphone tripods, which are still the core business of the manufacturer today – and are still manufactured in their facilities in Wertheim, Germany. K&M also produces musicians' stools, stands for speakers, monitors, and lighting, and a range of accessories for mobile devices, such as tablet mounts. To satisfy the company's own exacting standards, even the individual metal and plastic components continue to be manufactured primarily in the company's factory in Wertheim, with particular emphasis placed on environmentally friendly and sustainable production.

Accurate recordings of different sources

The K&M 26145 can be used to mike – just to give a few examples – a vocalist, a trumpet player, or a violinist: The freely adjustable boom arm provides sufficient distance from the main stand, allowing freedom of movement for expressive musicians without any risk of them accidentally knocking over the stand. Furthermore, the K&M 26145 can also be positioned at its maximum height for an even greater variety of sound sources – for example, in combination with a second stand as an overhead for drums, for A/B miking of a choir, or for several stacked guitar amplifiers.

Small footprint, sturdy stand
Adrian866 15.05.2018
I use two of these for drum overhead mics, and I really like the small footprint and the weighty round base (around 6kgs). I have these at maximum vertical extension and the boom almost fully extended, and with small SDC mics (such as Rode M5, NT5, etc), no stability problems whatsoever. I would also be happy using these with heavier mics, though I would probably add a counterweight sandbag to the boom arm, or place over the base to ensure no toppling over.

In terms of build quality, typical K&M quality, which I find to be good, although I have marked down the "handling" rating by one star for three reasons:
1. The twist-lock on the vertical pole extension can get jammed if over-tightened. I did this once, by accident, and it took a bit of effort to undo it.
2. I'm not a great fan of the lock used for setting the angle of the boom. Looks cheap and tacky, though it does work.
3. I would be happier if there was a locknut to help keep the bottom pole tight on the round base. I found, when moving the stand around the studio, the base could start to come loose. It won't fall off (there are plenty of threads), but the overall stability is reduced if the pole isn't tightened firmly into the base.

Finally, a really minor niggle, I managed to break one of the cable clips. They are a fairly hard, brittle plastic, so take care when removing them or clipping them back onto the poles.

Despite those apparently negative comments, the stand does exactly what I need it to do, works as intended, and is decent quality for the price. I would buy again if I needed to replace it.

Very sturdy
Dub77 06.03.2022
I bought this mic stand as i wanted a good solid stand as an upgrade from my cheap €25 one.
This stand is overall impressive. Its very sturdy. Its heavy enough that it wont get knocked over. It has a round base, which is not only sturdy but takes up noticeably less precious stage space as the three legged type.
There are two draw backs however.. 1, the main stand screws into the bass, its solid, but tends to unscrew as you move the stand at all.. and feels very distracting and annoying.
2.. the boom arm is quite narrow and held in place with a fairly weak thumb screw, this causes your mic clamp to suddenly swivel loose and turns the mic upside down at random moments. You can then tighten the thumb screw as tight as possible but it still loses grip.. this happened from very first use! the mic i was using was a shure beta 57, so not overly or unusually heavy.

Pros.. takes up minimal space, and is sturdy 95% of the time

Cons.. thumb screw on boom arm feels / is weak. And main stand unscrews from base far too easily.

Over all though, its a good stand, definitely an upgrade in terms of weight, but, i expected better from the price point.

Sturdy Stand with Small Footprint
Anoniem 26.01.2017
Excellent functioning microphone stand, easy to set up and adjust. Extremely stable stand.

The best part about this stand is the small footprint on stage, there are no tripod legs in the way! If you find yourself playing in cramped spaces this stand makes an immediate difference. The only downside is the weight of the round base at 6 kilos which if you are gigging has to be hauled around.

Highly recommended product, am going to get a second one.

Haben zwei davon im Proberaum steht. Bin echt zufrieden, auf Platte gewechselt zu sein. Im Gegensatz zu Füßen sieht sie besser aus und verringert die Stolpergefahr. Würde ich wieder kaufen.
