Not only for K&M boom arms

I am using this counterweight to balance a microphone array that I made out of Manfrotto Dado balls and rods. the counterweight fits EXACTLY around the Dado rods and can only be slipped on from one end of the rods. This actually is very handy, because when organised properly the weight will never fall off the rods, even when you loosen the knob.

The K&M counterweight is very well made, looks sophisticated and feels particularly nice in the hand. It contains a plastic tube inside the weight's hole that will protect rods or boom arms from being damaged by the locking screw.

Ik zocht een contragewicht voor zware microfoons. Deze was een perfecte additie op mijn k&m statieven.
Makkelijk te bevestigen, robuust product en goed gewichtig.
+kan ook gebruikt worden als stijlvolle deurstopper!

Used on some (non K&M) stands in order to counter balance my heavier mics.

Most mic clutches tend to give over time, and this counterweight is the ideal counter to that. I don't think you'll ever be able to perfectly balance with one, but they take a lot of the stress out of the central clutch rubber.

Simple to install too - remove anything from the mic stand's boom, slide this on, reassemble. Solid weight and can be used to settle arguments with drummers.
