Can go from subtle to really gated fuzzy/bitcrushed, really cool one-of-a-kind pedal! Use this with a fairly clean sound on your amp and you should be good to go :)

the revolution sound

This pedal really gives that Beatles Revolution grit. I tried quickly to imitate it with some other pedals and the Crayon stands out ! It has this raw Direct sound. For this use it is superb. As an extra distortion/fuzz it is not really necessary to buy it, but for this specific raw sound it does. If you want to invest in this specific sound, it is a good buy. Nice and simple controls also.

Simple gritty preamp

Used on bass, passive 5 string Squier CV. This goes from a clean boost to a really extreme, splatty destroyed fuzz tone while retaining the low end of the EQ. It adds a bit of sound shaping but in a nice way.
I set it to boost volume a bit, colour it with warmth and add just a tiny bit of grittiness. I have tried many overdrive pedals and this beats them all for this purpose. It sounds so good that I dont think I want to turn it off at all.

Break up bis Gated Fuzz

Trotzt üblichen Regeln von Overdrive Pedalen. Hat bei wenig Gain einen sehr Amp-artigen Breakup. Besser als so manch anderes Overdrive Pedal. Viel Bass, kaum Kompression. Bei hohem Gain gated die Verzerrung und geht in ein dreckiges Fuzz über.
