Great sounding speaker, perfect upgrade for bugera v5

Daniël van Wijck 17.02.2023

I replaced the original speaker of my V5 with this thing, and it sounds amazing. After a week of breaking in, the tones started to become more clear. The base is tighter and the amp isn't as dark. Made a world of a difference. No need to mod the amp, just replace the speaker with this thing!

Supergoede speaker

Erg goede speaker, het geluid in mijn versterker was direct helderder. Naarmate ik meer speelde kwam de speaker nog meer los en werd de klank voller en voller. Echt een prachtspeaker.

Fine speaker but service @ Thomann Bugera Amp - ZERO

G Geeraerts 05.04.2025

Have been using the Bugera Amp 5W for 2.5 years. Fine amp and with the Jensen speaker excellent. But after 2.5 years the Bugera devlopped a 50Hz hum. Send it back to Thomann - but their conclusion was - that is normal. So now I have a Bugera amp with a hum and Thomann says that is normal. Fine Amp - lousy customer service. Won't buy anything from them anymore.

A right little fire cracker of a speaker

Chris99 04.02.2015

Purchased this jensen cr8 as a replacement for my Bugera V5 stock speaker.

Bugera in there wisdom decided this amp should output at 4ohms...this made the search for aftermarket speakers somewhat slim...its this or a celestion.

The stock Bugera was somewhat dark and never sparkled enough.

But as soon as the Jensen was fitted it jumped into life, way more top end sparkle a brighter fuzzier breakup perfectly suited to the v5s single ended class A el84 vintage vibe.

2 weeks of break in allowed for the highs to smooth a little and the spaeker to really shine through.

It was louder too as seemed way more efficient than the Bugera stock.

Overall a very good upgrade and a must for this amp.
