A rechargeable powerhouse

Outstandingly powerful sound without the need for a mains supply is what defines the portable JBL Eon One MK2 PA system. It's easy for performers, presenters, and musicians to connect to the built-in mixer, whose relatively comprehensive complement of inputs can be controlled either via rotary controls on the subwoofer housing or via the dedicated app on a smartphone or tablet. The main thing that sets the Eon One MK2 apart from the even more powerful JBL PRX One is its built-in rechargeable battery and reduced weight. Compared with considerably less powerful competitors, the Eon One MK2 also stands out for its excellent portability, while still boasting high-quality tools such as genuine Lexicon and dbx effects.

Easy to handle

The JBL Eon One MK2 delivers 1500W with a sound pressure level of 123dB, covering a dispersion angle of 30° vertically and 140° horizontally. For even more precision, the height of the satellite can also be adjusted with the two spacers included, to suit the setting or the audience. Users can also fine-tune the sound, with each channel offering controls for gain, treble, mid, bass, reverb, delay, and chorus. The dbx Driverack output signal processor, in turn, protects the overall signal from feedback. Inputs located on the rear of the subwoofer include three XLR/jack combo sockets, a line input, and one channel with a mini-jack and Bluetooth interface.

Performing off-grid

Presenters, stand-up comedians, and public speakers of all kinds all benefit from a powerful PA system that can accommodate up to two microphones. Solo musicians and even small groups of up to three people can make full use of the integrated mixer and its premium-grade effects, while numerous presets provide time-saving solutions for short performances without soundchecks. Everyone from buskers to trade fair exhibitors and small venue operators can perform independently of mains power thanks to the battery, reaching larger audiences with the PA's wide dispersion. Despite its performance, the JBL Eon One MK2 saves space with a footprint of just 490×322mm. Solo performers in particular will appreciate that the four components weigh in at just 19.3kg in total, making the system highly portable and thus an ideal touring companion.

About JBL

JBL is an American company founded by James B. Lansing in 1946, which first went under the name of Lansing Sound Inc. Following legal disputes with Lansing's previous company, Altec Lansing, Lansing Sound Inc. changed its name first to James B. Lansing Sound Inc., and then finally to JBL in 1949. JBL's current headquarters are based in Los Angeles, USA. The company is well known for its audio system equipment, including loudspeakers and headphones, and is divided into two branches: JBL Consumer, which is dedicated to the consumer sector, and JBL Professional, which is focused on the professional audio sector and offers equipment for studios, live applications, and cinemas. JBL has been a part of Harman International Industries Inc. since 1969, which in 2017 became a subsidiary of the Samsung Group.

Ready in no time

The JBL Eon One MK2 can be easily adjusted for seated or standing audiences, as well as for raised or ground-level stages: All this requires is the omission of one spacer element between the subwoofer and the top unit to place the array at the desired height. For larger events requiring more sound pressure, an additional speaker can be connected via the Pass Thru output, and two condenser microphones or active DI boxes can also be used once phantom power has been activated for the first two inputs. To allow the user to switch between speech and music, the Soundcraft "Ducking" function is recommended, which automatically lowers the volume of the music as soon as speech is detected. For touring, accessories such as the Eon One MK2 CVR protective cover (also available with wheels as the Eon One MK2 Transporter), the Eon One MK2 spare battery, and the Eon One MK2 Battery Charger are available.
