Excellent choice for a backup controller

The Hercules Inpulse 200 MK2 is an excellent choice for a backup controller, perfect for taking everywhere just in case a surprise gig pops up. It’s great to travel with, always ready without breaking the bank. This compact and affordable DJ controller offers a range of features that make it both user-friendly and fun to use. The jog wheels are responsive and provide a good feel for scratching and nudging tracks, and the stem buttons are just great.

Kompakter kleiner Controller für Einsteiger

Der DJ Controller Hercules Impulse 200 MK2 ist klein und kompakt und richtet sich an Einsteiger. Das ist durchaus nicht negativ, denn der Controller bietet alles, was man zum Mixen am heimischen Rechner oder auf einer kleinen Party benötigt. Am besten funktioniert er mit der hauseigenen DJuced Software, die es allerdings nur für MacOS und Windows gibt. Unter Linux funktioniert er allerdings ebenfalls sofort mit der Software Mixxx - für mich der ausschlaggebende Kaufgrund für diesen Controller. Allerdings verzichtet man dann auf Features wie den Beatmatch sowie Beatalign Guide, was die Funktionen in Mixxx aber wieder wettmachen. An Hardware wurde etwas gespart, um auf den günstigen Preis zu kommen: so fehlt ein Line-In oder Microphone-In Eingang als auch ein vollwertiger Equalizer (der Regler für die Mitten ist nicht vorhanden). Mich persönlich stört das allerdings nicht, man sollte es nur vor dem Kauf wissen. Dafür gibt es ein dickes Lob an den Hersteller, für die vielen Video Tutorials einerseits zum Controller selbst als auch zu den Techniken des Mixens. Von mir also ein klarer Kauftipp für den Einstieg ins Hobby oder aber für die kleine Party nebenan.
