The ST-Modern Plus HSS Matt Olive Drab from Harley Benton's Pro Series is an electric guitar built around a versatile HSS pickup configuration that combines an open-coil Tesla humbucker in the bridge position with two matching single coils in the middle and neck, allowing a smooth transition from powerful Rock tones to clear, articulate clean sounds. The design follows a refined aesthetic: With its matt olive-green finish and black pickguard, the guitar always stands out visually, yet it also fits right in with heavier, distorted sounds. Beyond its appearance, the instrument is equipped with a range of professional features, including a high-quality Babicz tremolo system, fluorescent side dots, and staggered machine heads that support stable tuning and ease of use. The Harley Benton ST-Modern Plus HSS MOD employs the classic ST body shape, with a body crafted from American alder that contributes to both resonance and visual appeal, while the ergonomically designed neck joint ensures comfortable access even in the highest registers. The bolt-on neck is made from thermally treated (roasted) American maple, which gives it not only a distinctive look but also a noticeably refined feel in the hand, while its flat D-profile supports smooth playability. The rosewood fingerboard in turn features 22 medium-jumbo stainless steel frets, enhanced further by rounded semi-spherical fret ends, a detail more commonly associated with high-end instruments. The pickups are governed by master volume and tone knobs, allowing consistent adjustment regardless of the selected pickup, while a five-way switch makes it easy to move through the different tonal options.

The Harley Benton ST-Modern Plus HSS MOD is an all-round guitar designed for players who enjoy the clarity of classic single-coil tones but also need greater versatility for modern Rock and high-gain sounds, with the bridge humbucker delivering a bright and powerful sound with plenty of body. The tone control features a push/pull feature that allows the humbucker to be split, unlocking the popular "second position" ST-style sound with the bridge and middle pickups as single coils for added sparkle and flexibility. The high-quality Babicz tremolo system is fully integrated into the Pro concept, and its wide range of travel opens the door to divebombs and other expressive techniques, while the locking machine heads in turn ensure reliable tuning stability. Truss rod adjustment at the body end of the neck also means that neck relief can be adjusted with the utmost ease, and the guitar comes strung with a set of coated Elixir strings in gauges .010-.046.
