Mooie bas voor het geld, blij mee.
Na de aankoop van mijn fretloze heb ik ook deze Jazz Bass maar gekocht. Afwerking viel me iets tegen, ik heb de neck moeten shimmen om de snaren wat lager te kunnen zetten Eigenlijk moeten de frets ook gevlakt worden voor een optimale lage setup als je dat zou willen. Ik vind het echter geen probleem als de snaren iets hoger staan, dus ach. Verder prachtige bas. Kwaliteit hardware is perfect, gewoon een mooie bas met een lekker geluid. Op deze heb ik roundwound snaren, op mijn Fender Precision heb ik Flatwounds om zoveel mogelijk verschillende geluiden uit mijn bassen te kunnen halen.

Great affordable bass
I purchased this bass mainly to use when composing music, and try out a bit of bass playing next to my usual guitar playing.
The bass has the classic Jazz bass shape.
The body has a glossed natural finish, with a satin neck. The neck is of the slightly thicker variety, as expected with a jazz bass, and even has binding. The finish and plastic have no blemishes, the only blemish on the rest of the guitar is some wood shavings near the truss rod. Unfortunately though, one of the pickup screws was put in pretty crooked. Not a dealbreaker, but a bit annoying. (for those into modding, the room under the scratchplate is only routed for a J-bass pickup)
The action and setup were a lot better than I expected. Of course it needed some tuning, but the truss rod, intonation, and action were near perfect.
The fretwork is pretty good. Checking with a short ruler, the height difference is pretty minimal.
The tuners are of the non-brand variety and look like the cheap pot-metal variety. They hold tune pretty well, but are pretty stiff when turning and often jump and overshoot.
The pickups are the new ones. Replacing the Wilkinson pickups, they now come with Roswell pickups. I couldn't really find much information about them online, but my experience is that they sound okay. A bit thin, but still a lot better than the brandless ones I've heard on other basses.
All in all, the bass is pretty great. Especially if you take in account the cheap price it goes for.

Prima beginnersbas
Prima bas, mooi hout, misschien enkele onderdelen vervangen.
Bij de mijne zat geen aarde naar de brug, minpuntje.
Ga ik zelf regelen samen met een nieuwe potmeterset.
Al met al prima mooie bas voor het geld!

Erg zwaar...
Supergave basgitaar om te zien en klinkt ook gaaf, maar voor mij is hij echt te zwaar. Zeker vergeleken met mijn Squier Precision en Jazz basgitaren. De hals vond ik ook minder prettig aanvoelen, een beetje te breed/dik. Daarom helaas geretourneerd.

Goede basgitaar voor starters
Omdat ik naast een elektrische gitaar ook een basgitaar wilde proberen, heb ik deze Harley Benton aangeschaft. Hij trok mijn aandacht vanwege de relatief lage prijs, die ik niet terugzie in de kwaliteit van het product. Hij speelt erg makkelijk en klinkt zowel met als zonder versterker prima. Ik kan me voorstellen dat hij voor de gevorderde basgitarist of in een grotere bandsetting misschien wat leeg of weinig indrukwekkend klinkt, maar voor een beginnende basgitarist of voor een oriënterende muzikant is dit een prima instrument met een geweldige prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

very decent bass guitar
I was looking for a cheap bass that doesn't sound cheap. Well, I found it! Great value for th money this one.The sound is decent, it handles well, the neck is straight. To my surprise, even the strings were d'addario!
The only "con" that I can think of is that it is a bit heavy.
But I use it a lot, I really like it.
It is really cheap for what you get!

Jazz bass kopie, prima bas, ook voor gevorderden geschikt.
Geluid: zoals een Jazz bass, dus met lichte ruis.
Ergonomie: zwaar! Fijne hals (profiel en matte afwerking).
Optische: netjes, slechts kleine onvolkomenheden die voor deze prijs absoluut acceptabel zijn.

Goeie kwaliteit voor een kleine prijs
Erg fijne bas. Klinkt goed.
Hij is wel heel erg zwaar en de afwerking is niet zo heel mooi.

Een prima bass voor het geld!
Kocht deze bass in een pakket als instap model. Heb er de eerste 2 jaar op gespeeld voor een nieuwe te kopen. Geluid is niet het beste maar uitstekend goed voor de prijs. De afwerking laag had al na een korte tijd kleine scheurtjes in de lak laag. Jack output van de bass is in totaal (Na 3 jaar regematig te gebruiken) een paar keer kapot gegaan, dit is wel erg makkelijk te fixen door de draadjes gewoon weer terug er aan vast te solderen.
