A classy looking switcher being great bang for the buck.
Let's start with the downsides:
- Loud pop when turning on, so make sure you turn your amps on after powering the switcher, or at least muted.
- There is the tiniest bit of lag in patch switching, most notable when actually listening for ir, but it's there.
- Due to processing limitations you can only switch loops 1 through 4 or loops 5 through 8, meaning you have to change between the high and low banks.
Takes getting used to and makes for a somewhat tougher learning curve.
Selling points:
- Great looking
- Connectivity is very rich, you can (ab)use some outputs differently than intended which makes it even more flexible.
(Tuner out for me goes to tuner, obviously, and then into a DI for dry DI signal for reamping purposes).
But you could also use it as a split for an extra amp or a dedicated output for a talkbox amplifier.
- Very flexible and highly usable.
