Mooi sterke koffer

Vanwege de wat afwijkende maten voor mijn handgemaakte bas, zocht ik een wat grotere koffer die toch op de achterbank van mijn Fiesta paste.

Deze koffer is groot van binnen en toch redeljk klein van buiten, zonder dat het ten koste gaat van de bescherming van de bas. De bas wordt geod op zijn plaats gehouden en beweegt niet. Ook de hoogte aan de bedieningszijde is groot genoeg, zodat stacked knoppen geen probleem zijn.

De schanieren en sluitingen zijn stevig en de koffer kan tegen een stootje. Het ziet uit als een koffer waar ik jarenlang plezier van heb. Ook ligt de koffer mooi recht (mist er een bas in ligt)

Het enige nadeel vind ik dat de zijvakjes naast de hals geen dekseltje hebben, zodat e.e.a. wat rommelig uitziet hier heb ik mijn stemapperaat, batterijtjes, reserve snaren en afsteltool liggen.

Stevige koffer met voldoende ruimte voor extra's

Gebruik de koffer bijna een jaar, 2x per week. Heb er diverse basgitaren in gepast, de Ibanez-SR3006 past prima. De Sire MM-V7 past ook goed. Met twee aparte vakken heb je voldoende ruimte voor stemapparaat, adapter, gehoorbescherming, gitaarband etc.
De koffer is net iets langer dan gebruikelijk, zo te zien past er ook een 35 inch basgitaar in.
Update 5-1-2017 : de 35 inch Sire MM-M7 past ook prima in deze koffer. (De totale lengte van de M7 is zelfs korter dan die van de V7).

Goede pasvorm, netjes afgewerkt, geode materialmen en sloten.
Ook een 35" scale Lakland Joe Osborn 5str) past prima, wat ook de reden is dat ik 'm na online USA reviews heb gekozen.
Eindelijk een koffer met een comfortabel handsvat!

The Gator bass case is a mid price option that will do the job of protecting your instrument in a way no soft case will. The exterior is tough grade plastic and seems to a bit easy to mark with scrapes, but thats what its for. The clasps are not the standard one you find on older and cheaper cases - they seem to work well and with half the effort of the other clasps, and one has the option to lock. The handle has soft rubber on the underside making carrying so much more comfortable than one you would find on a cheaper or older case, and bass guitars seem to get very heavy when you've got them in a case with distance to cover. The interior is very plush - upholstered even, with area to stow strap/strings. This case is made with the classics in mind ie jazz/precision ect however i have Warwick Doublebucks with a much smaller profile so i have to use a bit of sponge to reduce movement in the case when im using it. In conclusion a very good quality case but would make sure the bass was a better fit than my Warwicks, and would reccommend this to any bass player wanting a decent case that will last as long as the guitar but doesn't have the money to buy top of the range.
