From the moment the Fun Generation LED Diamond Dome MK II is switched on, it will immediately become clear where the device gets its name from as countless points of light and a diamond-circle effect rotate throughout the venue like diamonds sparkling in the sunlight. The fact that Thomann’s in-house brand offers so many colours plus UV light at an affordable entry-level price makes it particularly appealing and, above all, interesting for small rooms where LEDs with a lower output are more than sufficient. The dome is suitable for ceiling or wall mounting, and it can be easily installed on a level surface. A remote control to activate the various effect controls is also included in the scope of delivery.

Easy to use

The Fun Generation LED Diamond Dome MK II has six 1W RGBWAUV LEDs to create the ultimate party light. The sharp and ultra-narrow spot beams project the colours red, green, blue, amber, and white (which can also be combined) as well as UV light and strobe effects. Anyone controlling the dome with the infrared remote control, which requires visual contact with the receiver embedded in the casing above the dome's display, can adjust the automatic programmes, static colours, strobe effects, or sound control mode from a distance. Alternatively, users will find that they can access all functions on the dome itself via the menu buttons and display. Easier operation is provided courtesy of an optional lighting control, which is connected to the three-pin DMX input socket, while a corresponding output enables master-slave operation. For users not wishing to simply install the effect on a surface, the small 182×162×182mm casing can also be securely screw-mounted using the eyelets.

Shining like a diamond

Anyone looking to multiply the effect of the LED Diamond Dome MK II can control multiple lights with a lighting console such as the Stairville DMX-Master MK II ENC. This is achieved by connecting the domes to each other and to the lighting console using DMX cables. The two sound control modes, motor speed, random effects, and all other functions can be controlled via the faders on the mixing console. The same DMX address is assigned to all spotlights that are to run in sync, while for small light shows, there is the additional option of assigning different start addresses to groups of domes. A fog machine or hazer will also add that special finishing touch to the evening.

Funny little light for it's price.
You can't expect it to be very bright in this price category.
It's fun for small rooms, like a small living room or kids room.
I would recommend it for small home parties.
It has a plastic casing.

I like it, in person it's even more fascinating - one small little plastic thing and does so much light effects. Good for the price, does not heat at all, so far no issues

Perfect plug and play lighting effect for a small(ish) room. The standard effects are great, but there is also the possibility of control by DMX. They can be simply plugged in and left to do their own thing or run by sound to light. Would suggest having two or three to fill a space.
