EV PL 80a

I love EV Microphones,
this was my latest Ev mic of a small collection I have dating back to 1974 yep mic nerd.

The thing is with EV they have never lost quality every mic they design is awesome.
The PL80a is no exception with its a rugged well built chassis with exceptional sound response,the lows are warm and the highs cut right through the mix,

It is a very clear sounding microphone that picks up every little nuance of the voice,
I impersonate many male singers to a very high quality and I need a mic that accurately gives me what I put into the mic plus a few cheats to get that across this mic performs I love it and it looks so professional on stage and on photographs.

I prefer Ev to other well known mic company's and I do own most of the Industry standards but for a dynamic mic you can't go wrong with this

In meiner Jugend war es der Tophit unter den Mikros und ich war von seinem Sound überzeugt und wollt es nicht mehr missen und das war der Hauptgrund für einen Kauf dieser Neuauflage.
Wie es der Zufall so will, fand ich in meinem Fundus noch ein altes Modell.

Ein wenig abgekratzt aber im Sound wie ich feststellte immer noch der Hit (es ist jetzt wieder in meinem Mikrokoffer und das mit recht). So nun konnte ich einen A-B Vergleich anstellen - Alt gegen Neu und leider hat kein Mikro gewonnen. Im Sound klingt das alte PL80 weicher, mein Sängerin hat sich in das Mikro verliebt und es mir Spontan abgenommen.

Das neu Mikro klingt im Sound schärfer, da die mitten weiter vorne stehen. Die Sprachverständlichkeit ist wie erwartet Super, an den Filtern unserer Anlage sind korrekturen kaum vorzunehmen. Rückkopplungen kein Thema und die Verarbeitung wie von EV erwartet GUT.
Sehr gutes Mikro also unbedingt mal Antesten. Ich steige wieder auf EV um und warum ging ich eigendlich weg?
