With the EV ELX200-12P, you get a modern two-way active speaker that can be seen as an all-rounder for DJs and solo entertainers, musicians, and bands as well as presenters and entertainers, and it also represents a solid investment for rental companies. Equipped with a 12" woofer, it is the mid-range model in the series and, with up to 1200 watts of peak power, slanted monitor, and tripod flange, it is ready for a variety of scenarios, from floor wedge to front-of-house PA. The functions of the speaker and up to six additional models can be conveniently remotely controlled via Bluetooth and a mobile device. Forgot your smartphone or ran out of battery power? Don’t worry — the back offers control options for the QuickSmart DSP directly on the device display.

Less weight, more power

Electro-Voice has given the EV ELX200-12P a 1200 W Class D power amplifier, its own EVS-12M 12" woofer, and a DH-1C 1" titanium tweeter. The frequency response ranges from 51 Hz to 20 kHz with a crossover frequency of 1700 Hz. The maximum sound pressure level is 130 dB, while the coverage angle is 90° x 60°. The patented SST waveguide improves the acoustic performance and ensures consistent output across all system configurations with compact housing dimensions. There are two lockable XLR/jack combo sockets for microphone/line signals and a stereo AUX input for channel 1 on the back panel. Another speaker is controlled via XLR link. Also very practical is the fact that the peak limiter algorithm, adapted from the EV concert sound systems, prevents damage to the speakers and protects both the performance and your investment.

Hardware for professionals and discerning users

The Electro-Voice ELX200 series is tailor-made for professionals who don't want to make any compromises on sound and usability on the road or in the installation environment. The configuration options of the QuickSmart DSP also score points here, including installation scenarios and sound adjustment using three-band EQ and ready-made presets (Music, Live, Speech, and Club). In addition, it features five user slots with save and recall functions, as well as input/output level controls and displays, including visual monitoring options with warning messages sent directly to your smartphone. Incidentally, EV uses a polypropylene chassis with powder-coated steel front grilles for the ELX200 series, resulting in a transport-friendly weight of just 15.6 kg for this model, which can be easily transported to the gig using the top and side handles.

For the rolling discotheque, concert use, or larger live setups, the system can be easily upgraded with the large top units as well as the 18SP sub and managed via app. It starts on a small scale, if you want to make a quick adjustment via the app at a singer-songwriter gig, and ends in more extensive setups, where nearby, ready-to-operate speakers can be identified and dynamically combined into groups with the installation location. This is where top-of-the-line sound meets user-friendly speaker management.

Great speaker

Speaker is great for me. I bought two of them and use it with two subs moste of the time DJing on the weddings...they are great...very clear sound, i dont need to push them hard to be loud. I easly used it for 150 people on the wedding. I never need to push it over -5db and they were loud enough. If i need i will definitly buy 2 more...:) They also are very light weight, can carry two of them easly. Interface is very eazy to handle. Recommend it!!!

Na jaren gebruik te maken van ZLX-15P speakers als topkast, was ik toch op zoek naar net dat beetje kleiner. Ik gebruik ze steeds in combinatie met ELX-118P 18" subs en dat kon net, maar ik miste toch meer de droge basskick van een 12". wat een combi met de nieuwe ELX200-12P. Met 1 sub per kan moet je de toppen u wel -3dB inregelen, anders gaan ze los over de subs. Met 2 subs per kant en 1 ELX200-12P per kant ga je gewoon snoeihard en zuiver. De instellingen via de app zijn zeker een handige in het instellen per ruimte. Zo haal ik steeds de beste klankkleur er uit.

Test in fullrange zonder sub nog niet in goede omstandigheden kunnen doen, maar ze klinken homogener dan de ZLX-15P en het laag is veel beter beheerst.

Heel tevreden van deze "kleine" krachtpatsers
