The EarthQuaker Devices Ledges Tri-Dimensional Reverberation pedal delivers a full range of immersive echoes, offering everything from snappy room reflections and deep hall ambience to the ethereal textures of plate reverb. Unlike some of the brand's more experimental offerings, Ledges takes a focused approach, with three classic modes – Room, Hall, and Plate – each powered by rich, high-quality algorithms. Its clear, straightforward layout makes operation intuitive, with no steep learning curve. Up to six presets can be saved, and any parameter can be assigned to an expression pedal for hands-on control.

Versatile control options
The EarthQuaker Devices Ledges Reverberation features two operating modes which are indicated by the colour of the Save/Recall switch LED. In Live mode, the pedal will respond to control adjustments in real time. In Preset mode, stored presets, including expression pedal mapping, are selected using the Preset switch, and the physical settings of the controls will be ignored. An additional hold function on the bypass switch lets users toggle between modes on the fly, providing quick access to two different sounds while performing. A TRS expression pedal input on the side of the unit enables real-time control over one of three selectable parameters: Length, Damping, or Mix. This setup makes it easy to navigate a wide variety of reverb sounds, whether in live settings or in the studio.

Room, Hall, and Plate reverb
With a three-way toggle switch, the EarthQuaker Ledges offers three hand-crafted reverb modes that deliver their own unique sense of space and depth. Room mode delivers a compact, spring-style reverb that reacts naturally to picking dynamics. Hall mode expands on this, offering a larger, more spacious sound that, at its highest setting, captures the vastness of a cathedral. Plate mode provides the most expansive effect, blending intense reflections with internal multi-tap delay to create nearly endless reverb trails. Each mode uses a different algorithm, tuned to give specific spatial qualities, while still sitting perfectly in the mix, making Ledges equally appealing to vintage tone enthusiasts and players seeking deep, atmospheric reverbs.

EarthQuaker Devices was founded in 2004 by the musician Jamie Stillman, who had previously gathered years of experience in the world of music and sounds as the manager of a record label for metal, punk, and shoegaze bands.
