Van Halen I delay in a small box

Bought this box in order to get closer to the van Halen I tone and this device delivers! I use it in front of my distored amp which has a very distinct sound. The delay acts based upon how hard you hit the strings and is mostly used to create a fatter sound and fill in the gaps. I like the MXR size unit as well als the knob layout and extra functions such as tap tempo. I am however not a big fan of the finish of this pedal but would still highly recommend it for the van halen stuff.

Simple and clean

I was searching for months for a delay that does the job in addition to my other pedals. I tried some other delays but i was having issues with my sound (muddy sound, weird repeats) After a long search i debated between el capistan and echoplex and i choose echoplex for the simplicity and space on my pedalboard.
Amazing sound, it doesnt mess with my other pedals in a bad way and its really simple to use. Worth the price!

A simple and effective delay pedal.
Produces clear, high quality delay without any bells and whistles.
Very simple to use, and drops straight into any rig.
It's inherent simplicity and lack of additional functions might be a turn-off for some people, But the sound quality and ease of operation makes it well worth it for me.
