These Neon strings from DR are a great gimmick on a black-light lit stage, and yes, it looks really cool. But the neon finish itself gives the strings a gritty, slow, almost sticky feel. The sound is not as clear defined and ringing as regular strings (the standard DR strings have always been to my liking in this aspect).
Again, it does look cool, so for a rythm (rock) guitar they could still be useful. For solo guitar I would not recommend them, due to the slow feel, and the subpar sound.

Colour doesn't last

The colour on these strings very quickly leaves and chips away when you play. The white colour started to break off on the high e string by the second or third day of playing. However the strings themselves have lasted a while but the sound more flat and less bright as they're coated strings.

Cool looks awful sound and feel

I used these strings for my basses so naturally I got interested in the guitar equivalents. Sadly, these strings are horrible; they feel like plastic and sound dull and lifeless. The sustain is bad as well. I would not recommend these to any guitar player if you care the least about playability or sound.

They look cool though.
