Nickel strings with an ultra-long lifespan

Manufactured using New York high-carbon steel for outstanding break strength, and with an ultra-thin polymer coating, the D'Addario XSE1149 strings offer – alongside the characteristics typical of nickel guitar strings – an extremely long lifespan and reliable tuning stability, too. This set of strings (with the gauges .011, .014, .018, .028, .038 and .049) is perfect for guitarists who want to get as much power out of their instrument as possible. When it comes to the sound they make, these strings don't differ from D'Addario's uncoated strings in the slightest – the only difference is that they'll last considerably longer, while sounding fresh and dynamic the entire time.

Play naturally

D'Addario's XS film coating is ten times finer than human hair, while still reliably protecting the strings from residue and changing temperatures over a long period of time. The coating is imperceptible to the touch, with a play-feel that is incredibly smooth and natural and a sound that's typical for strings with a nickel alloy wrap. The polymer coating also reduces the strings' finger noise, which is great for studio recordings in particular. The steel core's hexagonal shape (which is another D'Addario innovation) means the contact between core and wrap wire is almost seamless, giving the strings great tuning stability and precise intonation.

Perfect blend of longevity, playability and sound for me personally.

Of course coated strings do have a slight change in sound, but these are by far the closest to the ''uncoated'' sound... I do love the sound of the Ernie Ball Slinky a bit more, but the difference in longevity is definitely huge. Ernies last for only about a week, up to 10 days for me... These can stay on for months and still sound great. Also love the fact that they break quite a lot less than regular strings. One thing to note, though, is the string tension is a bit higher with these when compared to the same gauge strings from other brand or other series (NY core in these is more tense), I do love that, so I'm ok with that, in fact, one more plus for me, but for someone that wants lower tension, you might want to experiment with lighter gauge than you usually play when switching to these.

I’ve always hated the scratchy sound of my fretting hand moving around the fret board. These strings massively reduce these noises and feel super smooth when sliding around the neck.

Kurz Gesagt: eine schöne Weiterentwicklung, meine neuen Standard Saiten

Ich bin relativ früh von beschichteten Elixir Saiten auf Daddario NYXL auf allen meinen E-Gitarren gewechselt. Für einen ähnlichen Preis waren die für mich in allen Punkten besser (Verpackung, Verarbeitung, Spielgefühl und Haltbarkeit).
Als Daddario die neue XSE-Serie vorgestellt hat, habe ich mir direkt ein Satz bestellt und auf meine PRS gezogen und ich muss sagen, das Spielgefühl ist sehr ähnlich zur NYXL-Serie, aber irgendwie nochmal ein Stück angenehmer. Auch klanglich gefallen mir diese Saiten nochmal etwas besser, gerade bei cleanen Sounds mit viel Hall sind etwas mehr Details zu hören. Das kann aber auch einfach an dem neuen Satz Saiten liegen :D.
Ich habe die Saiten jetzt ca. 2 Wochen drauf und die sind immer noch wie neu und unglaublich stimmstabil (gerade mit den PRS Locking Tuners habe ich die Saiten einmal gestimmt und trotz Live Auftritten mit Temperaturwechsel hat sich seit dem nichts verstimmt - auch schon bei den NYXL so).
Zur Haltbarkeit kann ich noch nicht viel sagen, das wird sich erst im Langzeittest zeigen, aber ich gehe auch hier davon aus, dass die Saiten im Vergleich zu den NYXLs nochmal etwas besser sind.

Je suis beaucoup en prestation chant guitare .c’est à dire 5 jour / 7 avec un temps en moyen de 3H par prestation.
Je grate énormément, je vie sur une île très humide et j’ai fais pas mal de « marques »de cordes de guitare.
Pour mes prestations régulières cette gamme daddario rivalise nettement avec les élixirs .
Je suis étonné de la stabilité du son dans le temps au fil des gigs!!!
Je recommande cette gamme là pour les professionnels qui tourne beaucoup.
