The Dexibell VIVO SX-8 is a versatile sound module loaded with 3.2GB of high-quality sounds, including 100 organ presets. Additional sounds are available for download from the Dexibell website, offering even more flexibility. Powered by Dexibell's innovative True 2 Life (T2L) technology, which blends sampling with physical modelling, the SX-8 allows for deep, expressive sound customisation. The front panel features an intuitive LC display, offering clear navigation and easy access to adjustable parameters. Every sound can be refined with vibrato and/or chorus effects, adding vibrant depth and dynamic character to organ tones, in particular. Any USB-MIDI keyboard can be connected via the "Memory", while the "Computer" port enables simultaneous MIDI and digital audio exchange without requiring an interface (macOS and Linux supported).
The VIVO SX-8's control panel allows the user to easily select and edit their sounds, and a centrally positioned LC display provides a clear overview of all settings and parameter values. Navigation is handled via the arrow buttons to the right of the display, while the function buttons below the screen are used to select from the various options. The "Sound" button offers quick access to sound selection, and parameters can be adjusted using the "Data Entry" encoder. Sound monitoring is made easy by the convenient headphone output located on the front panel, complete with its own dedicated volume control, while on the rear panel, a ground terminal is available for connecting an external ground cable, along with two inputs for optional pedals to expand performance control.
The Dexibell VIVO SX-8 is built for organists and music producers seeking versatile, high-quality sounds for both live performance and studio production. Alongside its extensive organ library, it includes a wide selection of pianos, electric pianos, strings, choirs, brass, and synths as well as guitar and bass sounds - offering everything needed for a wide range of musical styles and productions. Powered by a new 1.8GHz quad-core Cortex processor and 4GB of RAM, the Dexibell VIVO SX-8 increases loading speed fourfold and provides smooth processing for all parameter adjustments, resulting in a lifelike sound reproduction with deep expression and fast, responsive performance. Its advanced MIDI configuration offers flexible integration with external devices, including direct note transposition. Built for stage, studio, or desktop, the SX8's rugged 2kg aluminium chassis offers road-ready durability and can be integrated seamlessly into any 19" rack using the included brackets.
The Italian company Dexibell comprises a team of engineers and musicians who have been working together since the mid-1990s. Their mission is to faithfully reproduce the sound of rare acoustic instruments, such as Romantic-era grand pianos or historic church organs, through digital pianos and sound modules. With their proprietary T2L Technology, they achieve exceptional sound quality while offering extensive customisation through physical modelling. Impressively, their products employ up to 320 oscillators to deliver unlimited polyphony. Dexibell instruments are used by renowned musicians worldwide, including Brian Culbertson, Sheléa Frazier, and Loren Gold (The Who, Chicago).
In addition to organ presets, the Dexibell VIVO SX-8 offers precise control over virtual drawbars. To capture the character of classic organs, the Percussion effect adds a crisp harmonic attack, while Overdrive introduces the warm saturation of a tube amp. A rotary speaker effect with adjustable speed adds further depth and authenticity, and the SX-8 offers nine versatile DSP effects, including reverb with 24 types and adjustable level and damp parameters, plus a three-band EQ for detailed tone shaping. A front-facing USB port makes it easy to quickly save and load presets, while the rear USB connection enables direct recording to a DAW.
