Although the “entry-level” digital keyboard of the acclaimed S Series, the Dexibell Vivo S2 delivers the same rich, detailed sound and expressive control as its larger siblings, in a streamlined and ultra-portable format. Powered by Dexibell’s T2L (True to Life) engine, it offers unlimited polyphony, 24-bit/48kHz audio, and an extensive sound library spanning grand pianos, electric pianos, organs, strings, pads, brass, synths, and more – fully customisable with downloadable sounds from Dexibell’s online library. The slightly weighted, 68-note keyboard, starting from a bottom A like a real piano, is responsive enough for both stage and studio use. Weighing just 8.5kg, and with the option of battery operation, the Dexibell Vivo S2 is designed for musicians looking for premium stage-ready sound quality without the bulk.
The Dexibell Vivo S2 is built for musicians demanding impeccable sound quality in a truly portable package. At just 8.5kg and with optional battery power, it’s ready for anything from street performances to complex stage rigs. Its unusual 68-note, slightly weighted keyboard design accommodates both piano and synth techniques, while layered synths, strings, pads, and brass open up rich textures for multi-genre performance. Gigging musicians benefit from its fast 20-second boot time and intuitive four-part navigation, while studio users gain from the low-noise 24-bit DAC, master EQ, and flexible connectivity. Bluetooth audio streaming makes it easy to rehearse with backing tracks or play reference material on the fly.
Whether busking on a busy city street or commanding centre stage in a full band setup, the Dexibell Vivo S2 performs equally well in any context. Its battery operation (using standard AA cells or an optional external pack) means no mains power is required. Street performers will value its portability, while gigging musicians benefit from straightforward integration into live rigs via multiple outputs, MIDI control, and pedal connection options. In the studio, its 24-bit DAC, multitrack USB recording, and quiet key action make it equally at home in professional production or home recording. In classic stage piano fashion, the range starts from a bottom A, accommodating traditional piano repertoire as well as synth and organ playing styles, making it a flexible choice for keyboard players of all genres.
T2L technology
At the heart of the Vivo S2 is Dexibell’s T2L (True to Life) engine, a hybrid of advanced sampling and modelling technologies. It captures the natural complexity of acoustic instruments at 24-bit/48kHz resolution with extended dynamics and sympathetic resonance, while modelling algorithms reproduce the subtle tonal changes that occur across the full range of the instrument. On piano sounds, decays can last up to 15 seconds on the lowest notes, preserving the natural sustain of a real instrument. Seamless changes between complex, layered sounds are possible without note cut-off, and the Virtual Damper function adds realistic pedal response even without a connected sustain pedal. Combined with the extensive onboard library and user-loadable sounds, T2L technology provides a tonal palette far beyond what is typical at this size and price point.
