Cort KX500 PM NT

Pro's :
- came nicely set up from the factory
- awesome quality for the price. Some big expensive brands should take notice to this level of workmanship and quality.
- great set of humbuckers.
- ss frets, nicely finished.
- good quality locking tuners.
- great sounds, very playable.
- although no two tops are the same and not all are equally pleasing, mine came with a very nice top.

Cons
- Both pickups are very nice, but they don't match as a set, in my opinion. Dark vs light but too big a contrast between the two.
- Both pickups are splittable but can't be split with the switch. Two push-pull pots for that purpose would have been a welcome extra.

This one is my 28th guitar and it's absolute killer at this price.

For the price you pay its a very good guitar
1- Perfectly setup right out the box ( and in tune)
2- Has a mellow rounded basy sound
3-Dont be fooled by the picture, the guitar does not look like how it is in images, you dont really see the woody marks, its a black guitar with traces of pale moon ( not as bright as in the image)
4- I redid the action as i play mostly drop D and i felt fret buzz with drop tuning.
5- I see a small gap between the neck joining to the body ( not a big deal but for sure its a defect). If it was a premium guitar i would not accept that, but for 750 Euros, you cannot expect gold standard either
But id buy this guitar 8 out of 10 times for this price ( actually a much better purchase than my previous Ibanez Premium Both made in indonasia )

Ich habe seit 2022 eine Ibanez S521 MOL und bin mit dieser Gitarre auch nach wie vor sehr zufrieden (d.h. Verarbeitung, Qualität, Sound, usw.). Ich wollte jedoch einige Features, die dieses Modell nicht hat, die Cort KX500 Pale Moon jedoch schon, wie bspw. Edelstahlbünde, Locking-Tuner, GraphTec-Nut, gerösteter Ahornhals und auch das Einstellrad für den Truss Rod am Korpus (ich liebe es!). Ich war jedoch sehr skeptisch, in Anbetracht des Preises, ob die Verarbeitung und Qualität auch meinen Vorstellungen entsprechen würde. Ich kann nur sagen, ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Ja, ein Setup war notwendig, d.h. die Halskrümmung, die Saitenlage und auch die Intonation waren zu korrigieren (war übrigens bei der Ibanez auch notwendig!). Noch dazu habe ich auf meine präferierten Saiten (Elixir Nanoweb Super Light) umgerüstet. Das Teil ist jetzt einfach nur geil. Optisch sowieso, aber auch vom Spielgefühl (sehr niedrige Saitenlage absolut ohne FretBuzz) und der Verarbeitung und steht einer Ibanez um nichts nach. Wird übrigens auch im selben Werk wie die Ibanez Standard- und Premium-Modelle hergestellt. Um eine gleichwertige Ibanez mit diesen Features zu bekommen, musst du ca. EUR 1000,- mehr ausgeben. Ich bin ein eingefleischter Ibanez-Fan und wollte unbedingt wieder eine. Allerdings wurde ich im aktuellen Sortiment 2026 weder bei der Optik noch bei dem, von mir gewünschten, Set an Features fündig. Ich gebe hiermit eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung ab, wenn jemand eine hochwertige Gitarre für einen unschlagbaren Preis haben möchte.
