The beyerdynamic TG V35s is a dynamic vocal microphone with a supercardioid polar pattern that was designed for the rigours of everyday stage use. Like all of the microphones in beyerdynamic's "Touring Gear" series, this model has been specially developed for on-stage performance and is thus built to be thoroughly robust. It is also extremely insensitive to feedback and delivers a pleasingly high output level. The name is easy to explain: TG stands for "Touring Gear", V for "vocals", and the small S for "switch". The TG V35s comes with a microphone clip and in a carrying case. Last but not least, the affordable price will convince even the most skeptical users.

Perfect for the human voice

The sound of the beyerdynamic TG V35s is made for clean and transparent speech and vocal transmission: The frequency response drops slightly in the lower mids and towards the low end, and features a moderate boost in the sensitive treble range at around 5kHz. This ensures good speech intelligibility and demands less EQ adjustment from the FOH mixer. At close microphone distances, the proximity effect adds a solid bass response to delicate vocals, resulting in a richer and warmer sound. The V35s has an ON/OFF switch that operates completely silently, has a metal casing and, despite its sturdy construction, weighs just under 300g, so your arm will not get tired even during longer gigs.

For an extra long stage life

The rough everyday touring life usually proves to be an endurance test, whatever the equipment. The fact that beyerdynamic even includes this requirement in the name of its TG models shows great confidence in its own products - and the TG V35s definitely delivers the goods. beyerdynamic was founded in Berlin in 1924 as a manufacturer of cinema loudspeakers. In 1937, Eugen Beyer developed the DT 48, the first set of dynamic headphones, followed two years later by the M 19 dynamic microphone. Ideal for loud stages

One thing is for certain: The beyerdynamic TG V35s belongs on stage, and preferably on a loud one. The slight treble boost and the high feedback resistance make it easy for sound engineers to mix vocals in a way that makes them easily audible over the instrumentalists. In order for the TG V35s to fully exploit its high feedback immunity, the corresponding stage monitor must be set up correctly: With a supercardioid polar pattern, the monitor speaker is not placed directly behind the microphone but to the side of the microphone stand, at an angle of about 125° to the microphone's longitudinal axis.

Verrassende prestaties

Ik had behoefte aan goedkope alternatieven voor de SM58
Deze Beyerdynamics kosten maar de helft.
Maar ik ken het merk als betrouwbaar dus ik besloot het te proberen.
Inmiddels heb ik als geluidsman twee van deze microfoons iedere week in gebruik bij optredens.
Tegen een SM58 beta kunnen ze niet op, maar ik prefereer ze nu boven de standaard SM58.
De frequentiekarakteristiek loopt door tot 18KHz en dat laat zich gelden door een duidelijk presence. Waar andere microfoons in deze prijsklasse al snel dof klinken, blijven deze mics helder van klank.
Voor de prijs vind ik de kwaliteit uitstekend.

Mooie microfoon van het kwalitatieve merk Beyerdynamic. Ik zal hem vooral gebruiken voor live speech, en eventueel ook zang. Mooi ontwerp, zeer warm geluid, en een kwalitatieve switch die je niet perongeluk kan verschuiven. Handig wanneer je de microfoon gebruikt voor live optredens, waarbij de zanger(es) de microfoon dus niet zomaar kan uitschakelen. Deze microfoon heeft tevens niet veel last van feedback. Je krijgt er ook een mooi tasje bij.
+ warm geluid, mooi ontwerp.
- De bijgeleverde kabel is van iets mindere kwaliteit voor het echte werk, maar voor thuis of DJ's zeker prima.

No worse than an SM58

I bought a couple of these, and am very happy. Not the best microphone in the world, but it's VERY descent. It works better than the SM58 in a loud live context thanks to its feedback resistance. I rate the sound and features as OK, but considering how cheap it is I give it a four star rating overall. It's not as good as my Electrovoice 967 or the Beta 58, but it shouldn't be for this price. You pay for a crappy toy and get a reasonably professional microphone that sounds at least almost as good as the SM58 for live vocals and is more resistant to feedback= good!

For the price its a very very good microphone. I have the sm 58 too and although Shure is obviously better, this mic is not far behind. Its used as a vocal microphone for our lead singer and in band setting it does the job very good.
In future if somebody is interested in buying one of these I would recommend it without hesitation.
