Fijn microfoontje.

Hoevaak heb je eigenlijk geen ruimte om een sm57 bij een Snare drum te plaatsen. Weer in discussie met de Drummer. Daar was ik een beetje klaar mee. Heb toen de E609 mic’s gekocht. Toen liep ik tegen een ander probleem aan, drumkits met ophang ringen die te dicht op de rand zitten met geen mogelijkheid de Mic mount er tussen te krijgen. Nu heb ik de beyerdynamic TG 57 gekocht om te proberen en ja hoor dit is een prima oplossing en de klank is ook goed.
Een prima alternatief voor de door mij nog steeds geliefde sm57.

Great sounding, honest drum mics

Got to work with this mic when the Thomas Lang's tour manager insisted on using them for his masterclass tour since he was also a representative of Beyerdynamic. I was more than pleasantly surprised at the quality of the mics making it top choice for my own setup.

Great and clear sounding mics. Dial in enough HPF, and careful gaining provides quick and workable results from the get-go.

Convenient long goosenecks negate potential placing difficulties on drums with so-called separate lug systems, which turned out to be somewhat of a challenge with the short goosenecks of the 58's

Clear and honest mics with great attack and and relatively little coloration, though the lift in the high end is clearly noticeable. The clamp system is a godsend, and still discrete, regardless of its size.

So far I tried them on toms, yet to give them a go on a snare (or anything else really). They are bright, they capture a very beautiful attack with good amount of body and sustain (depends on the placement of course). There’s a bit more bleed involved but nothing that modern tech/plugins can’t take care of. It’s a great value too and definitely my current go-to for toms.

Really great mic's for toms! They sound out of this world and make toms sound huge! I'm very happy with them!
Good clip, very sturdy and will clip on most drum kits.
Could also use them on an acoustic banjo with rim.

Downsides (minor issue's)
-not to be placed by inexperienced crew -> fragile necks
-Bleeds a fair bit though you don't need as much overheads in your mix
