Zelf gebruik ik deze mute vaak om mijn buren niet tot last te zijn bij het oefenen, maar voor de kwaliteit van de toon is dit zeker niet de beste mute.
Dus wil je stil oefenen. Dan is dit de beste in zijn soort, maar dan is je tone niet geweldig. Wil je tone houden, dan dempt je mute waarschijnlijk veel minder dan deze.

Worth every single cent.
I am a conservatory student (classical violinist) from the Netherlands who lives with two other people in the center of a busy city.
This practice mute is great.
It's an absolute must-buy for both (professional) violinists and violists who practice late at night (with other people around) and for those who practice in hotels and such before concerts. It comes in a plastic case with a nice styrofoam cut-out. I haven't regretted this purchase to date.
Quick heads-up: The positioning of the mute on the bridge of your instrument may temporarily slightly affect the tuning of your instrument.
To fix this, carefully adjust where the mute rests upon the bridge, or just tune your instrument again with the mute on. Always re-tune your instrument after removing the mute.
Edit: After extended periods of use, the mute leaves dark marks on the instrument's bridge. I haven't noticed a decrease in quality of sound, but it's something worth keeping an eye on nonetheless.

Best mute I have tried.
This mute dampens A lot of volume and while doing that it doesn't harm your bridge!
This mute rolls the treble off a bit which for me is actually a nice thing because it sounds softer.
For practice, this is a great mute and I highly recommend this one!

Niet slecht, maar...
Als het echt even zachter moet is dit wel een oplossing (of een elektrische viool zonder versterking), maar het ontneemt je wel het zicht op de plek waar je stok bezig is en voor een beginnend violist is dat soms vervelend. Geluid blijft mooi, vind ik en het scheelt zeker een paar decibellen.

Dempt heel goed
Dempt heel goed, geluid galmt niet meer. Is wel heel zwaar. En als ik flink op de C- en G-snaar speel valt ie eraf.

Perfect
It works much better then a plastic one, very nice sound reduce so I can play when my kids are asleep. Fits perfect on a Viola bridge (Viola size 15.5)

Weg met de herrie!
Ik heb deze mute gekocht voor mijn huisgenoten, deze mute is perfect voor als je wilt oefenen zonder de rest in de buurt te storen.

Dempt het geluid top
Hele fijne hoteldemper, doet wat mij moet doen en kan nu ongestoord 's avonds spelen zonder mijn buren wakker te maken. Komt ook in een mooi compact doosje. Ik heb wel dat de demper vrij 'hoog' op mijn kam zit. Ik heb 'm een keer wat verder naar beneden geduwd maar daar ging mijn kam wat scheef van staan. Niks ernstigs maar blijf het spannend vinden om de demper er op te zetten/ af te halen.

Precies waarvoor ik het gekocht had. Dempt fantastisch. Buren gevraagd, ze hebben geen last van mijn kattengejankt. Super fijn! Ik Ben namelijk een beginner 🎻
