Aguilar Tone Hammer Bass Effect Pedal

it's almost impossible to get bad sound out of this pedal. The tone is easy to adjust. There is no noise whatsoever, even with high gain or drive. Beautiful tones. The drive option doesn't give a full distortion, but just enough edge with fullness of sound for a rock sound. Through the mid-boost-level you can adjust de mid-tones more accurately .
This pedal has all I need for a perfect in-ear set up. I find it a really nice unit to practice (I usually dont take anything else with me, except the bass and the tone hammer. Which is fantastically minimalistic and super easy to take along in a gig bag, given the super compact size.
The build is very sturdy and it looks like it's built like a tank and will withstand many years of happy gigging.
I'have had this pedal for half a year now and gigged quite a bit, mainly with in-ears monitors.....I am happy with it. Sound guy also happy.
At live gigs I add an octave and a compressor pedal. But I have also played live gigs through the Tone Hammer only, and was mind blown at the fantastic sound it was able to produce.

I love the Aguilar Tone Hammer because it only focuses on a few things, and does them very well. There is no software, or app: you plug in your bass, and sound comes out on the other end. It just so happens that the sound is utterly fantastic: I tried it with active and passive basses. The hi-gain mode is particularly distinctive. I don't know how this compares to SansAmp, but now that I have it, I am never going to part with it.

Ich hatte schon unzählige Pedale, Multis und Amps. Das meiste davon brachte ich zu guten Soundergebnissen. Bei mir ist dies etwas anspruchsvoller, da ich zahlreiche unterschiedliche Bässe habe.
Nun suchte ich ein kleines Gerät, welches direkt ins FOH und optional in den Amp geht. Dazu sollten nur ein paar Knöpfe zu bedienen sein und gut ist. Ein Aux in und ein Kopfhörer würden ein sehr nice to have sein.
Gefunden! Der Tone Hammer Preamp V2 erfüllt dies alles. Egal welchen Bass ich einsetze, es klingt immer und sofort rund, kräftig und ausgewogen. Bei den Bässen stets alles in Grundstellung, beim Tone Hammer alles auf 12 Uhr. Dann nur noch kleine! Korrekturen am EQ und es geht ab.
Lediglich der Drive und Mix Regler sind etwas fummelig, kann ich aber gut leben damit.
Der Preis ist zwar eine Hausnummer aber unter dem Strich lohnt es sich allemal.
Ich würde das Teil sofort wieder kaufen. Sehr tolles Gerät.
