Adam Audio's T7V speakers were first launched in 2018 and scooped up a whole succession of prizes right away, including the 2018 MIPA Award, the TEC Award, and the IBC 2018 Best of Show award - an impressive achievement considering the speakers' affordable price point. In terms of quality, however, these "T-Rexes" take their cues from significantly more expensive speakers with 7" woofers and the "German Engineering" label.

The ART of the tweeter

A special feature of all Adam Audio speakers is the ART (Accelerated Ribbon Tweeter), which allows long periods of operation without fatigue setting in. The tweeter's pleated ribbon design reduces breakup and distortion to a minimum and delivers an expanded dynamic range thanks to its effective surface area, which is 2.5 times larger than that of tweeter designs that are based on piston action. This design also produces a rapid and direct high-frequency response (even with complex transient frequencies) and a linear frequency response of 39Hz to 25kHz for the monitor as a whole. The cabinets' acoustically optimised design, complete with the characteristic bevelled edges, combines with the ART tweeter to give these speakers a very striking appearance.

About Adam Audio

Perfect for home use

Users who are looking for a first set of monitor speakers for their home studio but only have a limited budget at their disposal should definitely take a closer look at the Adam Audio T7V. In this price range, buyers will be hard pressed to find a better option, and the difference between these and ordinary hi-fi or computer speakers (or headphones, for that matter) will become obvious during the first mixing session, if not before. Unlike conventional and commonly found speakers that operate according to the piston principle, ART speakers (and Adam’s corresponding X-ART, S-ART, and U-ART models, the latter of which is installed in the Adam T8V) feature a pleated membrane design that moves air four times faster, from which the name “Accelerating Ribbon Technology” is derived.

Great sound

On a recommendation from someone whose ear I trust, I was tipped about these speakers. I've been using Yamaha HS7's for the last couple of years now, and although I had gotten used to these speakers, I could never really enjoy them. Of course, monitor speakers should be flat, so what's to enjoy?
Even flat speakers have a certain character. The HS7 are also known for having a 2k bump, which definitely can cause ear fatigue. Overall I always thought they were a bit harsh, but figured
that was a side effect from being flat.
The frequency response on the TV7 is even a little flatter than the HS7, but the overal listening experience is so much better. They actually sound very smooth compared to the HS7's. There is plenty of bass, amazingly crisp top end, and the mids just sound exactly in balance. But the biggest difference is, after a couple of hours of working on a mix, my ears are not fatigued at all. Again, I've only been working with these speakers for a couple of days, but I'm convinced. These are a keeper. Very much recommended!

Sinds oktober 2019 zat ik al te denken om een setje studiomonitoren te kopen. Helemaal omdat ik steeds meer zelf thuis aan het mixen was.
In maart van dit jaar begon ik steeds meer daarnaar te verlangen, omdat ik steeds meer thuis was.

Na veel onderzoek en luisteren had ik besloten voor deze speakers te gaan. En wat ben ik tevreden. Alle meningen en ervaringen van anderen klopten.

Ze zijn van mooi hout en niet te licht of te zwaar. Ook de afwerking met de schuine hoeken aan voorkant is erg mooi. En daarnaast ook goed voor geluid spreiding.

Ik heb ze aangesloten op een externe geluidskaart van Focusrite. In een niet akoestisch aangepaste ruimte.
Na het aansluiten heb ik vele soorten muziek op verschillende volumes getest. En er kwam erg mooi geluid uit.

Aan de achterkant zitten meerdere knoppen om de speakers wat lager of wat hoger te laten klinken.
De knoppen zijn van goede kwaliteit. Enig nadeel vind ik dat de volume knop geen voelbaar midden heeft. Nu weet dus niet of beide speakers daadwerkelijk even hard staan.

Al met al zijn het erg goede speakers. Beter dan ik zelf had verwacht.
Echt een aanrader.

Fantastische monitoren!

Ik heb deze monitoren gekocht om te beginnen met mijn opleiding voor producer en ik heb er alleen maar lof over! Het geluid wat er uit komt is kraak helder en wordt niet (hoorbaar) gekleurd. Ook zitten er in deze monitoren geen frequenties waar je last van gaat krijgen met langdurig gebruik. Ze zijn dus heel zacht voor je oren waardoor je zonder moe te worden lange tijd kunt mixen met deze prachtige monitoren! De afwerking is tevens ook fantastisch! Al met al laten ze dus niks te wensen over!

Beste koop voor zeer betaalbaare prijs

Als pro audio technicus ligt mijn standaard hoog aangezien ik ook studio mixages doe.
Deze kleine krachtpatser doen alles wat je van Adam audio mag verwachten.
Dynamisch uitstekend, tonaal mega strak en zwaar hifi geluid voor de echte audiofiel.
Ook in de huiskamer volstaan ze prima.
Mijn nieuwe liefde!
