With the Caz series, Zultan has added to its range a collection of extremely inexpensive, handcrafted cymbals made of B20 bronze, which, thanks to their sound properties, are ideal for Jazz and other music genres that tend to be on the mellow side. The cymbals are made in Turkey using manufacturing methods that have been tried and tested for centuries and consist mainly of manual craftsmanship. The simple, classic look of the cymbals is just as traditional as the workmanship. The Caz range includes the models Crash, Crash/Ride, Ride, Sizzle Ride, and Hi-Hat, with two pre-configured sets also available.

Plenty of craftsmanship on a budget

When talking about exquisite, handcrafted cymbals from Turkey, the mouths of aficionados start to water immediately. However, a glance at the prices might quickly leave them disillusioned: This is where the Zultan Caz cymbals come into play. Never before has so much musical mojo been offered for so little money, and even compared to the best models from the established brands, the Caz cymbals – which are completely hand-lathed and hammered over their entire surface – deliver truly impressive performance. Jazz in Turkish

"Caz" is quite simply the Turkish word for Jazz, so the intended field of use should be pretty clear. Jazz drummers need lightweight cymbals that react to the softest playing and deliver a balanced, harmonious sound across all dynamic levels from soft to loud. This applies not only to Jazz, though, but also to genres like Blues, Funk, Latin, and Soul, so that the Caz cymbals can also show their advantages there. About Zultan

To provide traditional craftsmanship at a fair price has been the guiding principle of Zultan ever since it was founded in 2000. Look beyond the big name brands and find treasure!

I was nervous about purchasing these cymbals as I had never heard of the Zultan Brand before. I did not have the budget for well known high level models from Zildjian etc and I am very thankful that I did not! This meant I researched for the best possible value for my budget and Zultan provided this. The Caz model are lighter and dont project as much as some of their other models, but this suits my style and needs. I find them warm and musical and beautiful to look at. The only negative was some small markings which I had to buff out. Hope to come back to Zultan next year for a RAW series pack.

The name says it all "Professional" Turkish made! These cymbals sounds warm with a jazz feel to it. Just the right amount of sustain and flex. The 14" Hi-hat has a nice chick when closed and a good wash when open. 20" ride has a nice warm tone with a raw sounding bell, the ride cymbal is thin enough to crash on! Price wise.. it's unbeatable. Good quality cymbals at a fraction of the price of other professional brands

Nice, versatile set for a great price

These are way, way better than their price would suggest. A nice rich, smooth tone, just slightly dark and dry sounding but decent sustain. They are great in a less rock orientated context but I've found that riding on edges works well in a rock setting given their slight (and it is only slight) thinness which means they don't tend to become overpowering and take up too much space. All in all, very nice. A slightly poorer cousin to Zildjian K's, but one that can still hold his head high.
