The K Series is one of the most successful cymbal series from the long-established US manufacturer Zildjian. The immensely versatile cymbals that make up the K Series Professional Promo cymbal set are made from high-quality B20 bronze - an alloy of 80 percent copper and 20 percent tin - and have a dark, deep basic sound. The cymbals' surfaces are kept in the polished traditional finish, with hammer indentations and fine turning patterns that give them an attractive look. About Zildjian

The Avedis Zildjian company is one of the world's oldest manufacturers of musical instruments. In addition to cymbals and gongs, the Zildjian range also includes drumsticks, percussion mallets, and accessories. The company's history dates back to 1618, when an Armenian, Avedis Zildjian, made his first cymbals from tin, copper, and silver near Constantinople. In the early 20th century, the company moved its headquarters to the United States, where a short time later the era of big bands and Swing music began. Goede investering

Prachtige klank zoals verwacht van deze set. Bruikbaar voor zowat alle genres. Ook in stevigere muziek inzetbaar, maar voor de bijhorende speelstijl ze niet gemaakt uiteraard.

Het is een redelijke investering maar bij iedere sessie geniet ik er opnieuw enorm van!

De reden dat de afwerking geen 5 sterren krijgt is omdat de bottom HH niet perfect is afgewerkt, er zijn enkele 'vuile' plekjes.

Been playing these for two years and they get even better with age. The highlight is between the 18" crash, which is warm and responsive and any dynamic and has the perfect sustain for me. Second would be the hi hats which sound great in any genre, i play rock, jazz and dance music and the hats work in them all!

The ride has a clear stick definition and the bell is just right, not too loud or too low. It works well when you really lay into it also you get a nice wash underneath but i wouldn't use it as a crash.

I've never been a fan of 16" crashes but this one has me on the fence. its the baby of the 18" so you still get the same features only higher pitched but its not as responsive as the 18 but thats to be expected.

Overall great value and i've recommend them to anyone, Zildjian are one of the best and you won't be lacking quality and sound!!

Zildjian K-Series offer high quality cymbals with sweet sweet sounds. The cymbals seem to fit almost in every style of play and they are great for every day use. I recommend to listen the sound banks carefully which Thomann provides. They sound exactly how they are live. This was perfect deal to get the cymbals all in one. All these cymbals are made for professional use but even if you are not professional I recommend to buy these, you won't get as excellent cymbals as these are any cheaper.

Special note for 18" K-Series Dark Thin Crash, it is definately my favourite cymbal. It has overwheling, superb sound which will give you the extra power when you need to accent/finish your playing with style.

Super washy, less stick definition, too dark

After alot of study, reading articles and listening to reviews, I decided to buy the K-series Profi Promo Pack. The overall sound of the cymbals are satisfying, although way too dark for my taste. I kept thinking to return the package, but maybe I'll purchase a brighter cymbal to level the sound. I know it's all a matter of taste, but they seriously lack the stick definition (especially the ride). I'd like a mix between a washy and definite sound, because I tend to ride the crashes and crash the ride. If you feel the same, maybe consider buying the K-Sweet Series, although they do not come as a pack :(
