Yamaha CX40 II

I bought this guitar to use it as an instrument that i can carry all the time in my car and to the beach. The overall value for money is excellent for this instrument.

The finishing of this instrument is very good, the neck is pretty comfortable (at least for my big hands). The action of the strings is a bit high for my taste, but not so high that makes the guitar too difficult to play. When played unplugged it has a mellow sound that helped me a lot with composing new songs. The built-in preamp is OK and it will do the job, but it can't capture the fullness that a normal dynamic mic would, so it sounds a bit thin and tin-like and the EQ doesn't help much to enrich the sound. It is OK for small gigs though.

For the price is definitely a good instrument that I would recommend to everyone who is seeking an affordable decent instrument for taking to the beach or outdoors.

Dit is echt een superfijne gitaar. Niet helemaal zonder kleine tekortkomingen, maar wel echt "bang for your buck"

Een grote stap voorwaarts ten opzichte van een studentengitaar.

De nadelen: scherpe fretuiteinden. Deze zijn vrij slordig, maar met een goed vijlltje wel te verbeteren.

Voor de rest zijn de standaardsnaren niet om ober naar huis te schrijven.

Buiten dat is het een fantastische gitaar!
Mooie klank als je akoestisch speelt.
Echter, de electrische versterking is verbazend goed. Een klassieke gitaar klinkt superveel beter met een beetje reverb en een snuifje delay ;)

Gewoon kopen als je 150 piek over hebt. Plezier verzekerd!
