50 watts isn' t much (for a bass, bass and guitar amps can't be compared wattwise), and thus it doesn't go very loud, but it's enough for practice purposes. the small compact box is easy to carry around. the 8 inch speaker can be heard close by as well as further across the room, whereas bigger speakers can go silent in close proximity. the speaker also has no trouble with producing the sounds of my lower 5th string (B0). the tube gives the sounds more warmth. it doesn' t have a lot of features, but the controls are simple, easy and intuitive. quality of the sound is outstanding.
