Geluid en gewicht zijn prima. De afwerking van de korte kanten vind ik niet glad genoeg voor kinderhanden. Er zitten geen splinters aan, maar ze zijn niet zo lekker glad als de Gewa claves.

Dit is een héle goede clave en is tevens zéér gunstig geprijst. Ik ben zelf erg fan van een lagere pitch clave in de studio.

Heb tevens de Rohema Concert Claves 27 gekocht van Rosewood. Die klinkt ook erg goed, maar deze is toch favoriet. Niet beter, of slechter, maar elke clave van bepaalde houtsoort, heeft zijn eigen kwaliteit in opnamen. En hoe iemand geluid ervaart is altijd subjectief.

I bought 3 sets of 20 clave pairs -
20 pairs low
20 pairs middle
20 pairs high

They all are nicely finished and are EXTREMELY GOOD VALUE.

I would have put the sound as Good rather than very good because the softer wood/smaller size means they don't ring out and aren't loud and crisp, but are adequate for teaching children.

If you were buying them and not wanting all the highs to be one pitch, all the middles at another pitch and all the lows at a lower pitch they would therefore score Good.
I have given them a lower rating on sound because the low ones all have a slightly different pitch as do the medium and high ones so there is at least one tone difference between the highs and other highs, the middles and other middles and the lows and other lows.

As I use them for whole class teaching with groups of 60 children they can't be treated like 3 note tuned percussion or 3 groups. Some highs are lower pitched than some middles for example.
