I converted a small Line 6 micro amp for mic stand placement. Works very well. Warning: If you try the same...stability is important. (Tip: Place a split-ring or other cable-tie on mic stand leg + use a long-legged sturdy old-school mic stand. This way your cable will pull from the foot-end and not the amp end...many other simple solutions possible!) Small amps make big sounds closer to ear-level than to foot-level.
