Tegeler Creme Green

Wat 2 dB op 140 Hz en 3 dB op 12 KHz wel niet kan doen... De Creme van Tegeler Audio Manufaktur geeft niet alleen creme maar vooral smeerolie! Een paar dB gainreductie met trage attack en rdelijk snelle release (ratio 1.5) haalt net de scherpe randjes van je mix en lijmt de hele track aan elkaar.
Natuurlijk is het een keuze om een mixbus compressie toe te passen en die keuze is aan iedereen om zelf te bepalen. Voor mij is de controle over de dynamiek van de hele track belangrijk want met die paar dB gainreductie klinkt de mix consistenter.
Maar... De Creme is meer. Ook op een drumbus of baschannel werkt deze compressor prima. Meer puch, meer kleuring, meer Creme.
Daarnaast hou je van de verpakking een heel mooie houten kist over waarin je al je kabels kunt opbergen die je niet meer nodig hebt om een losse eq en compressor aan elkaar te verbinden.
Echt de tegeler is een echte aanwinst in mijn studio en in mijn muziek-template (Steinberg Nuendo) staat deze compressor dan ook als insert op mijn mixbus.

Don't be fooled from the fact that "Tegeler" is not a well known brand name - they deserve to be up there with the best ... We're talking here for something which although not necessary for "just doing your job" it always makes you "sound" better when in use ... mix bus or "stem" stereo buses - even in separate stereo tracks... it's the kind of hardware you switch it off only to find it was CLEARLY better when "On" ... easy to "overdo" because what it does is "subtle" but "professional , punchy and tight" ... you will not hear the "transformer" sound but when your track doesn't need this ( and let's be honest - in today's commercial music there are a lot of times when our hard earned money - vintage hardware purchase just doesn't fit ) ... then it's THE business ... great build quality ! For the money : if you are serious about your music and you have the budget available , then go for it without hesitation .

an excellent all rounder. I don't think it is TOP CLASS in anything but it is a very versatile compressor and EQ. Pulltec is pulltec sounds fabulous, can't go wrong even at +5db. The compressor it giving character to everything that passes through, works for all types of sound. There are better sounding compressors but when taking the price into account you really can't go wrong with this.

The unit started making distorted noises and scratching just after the warranty finished. The unit sounds clean and works on all genres basically. The comp and EQ can do a lot with few dials and sounds better than plugins and also unique. But, that doesn't excuse the build quality. The high band distorts and crackles, the low band swifts the LR image and the vu light flickers. I have contacted the company and they want me to pay all shipping and they don't mention a replacement unit. I am stuck with it broken for a year because I use it on ongoing projects and new ones because again the unit is part of my sound but, the build quality isn't just there.
