The TC-Helicon Ditto Mic Looper is a compact and intuitive looping stompbox designed for vocalists and acoustic musicians. At the press of a button, users can instantly record, layer, and play back vocal or instrumental loops, making it a versatile tool for live performance, songwriting, and practice. With unlimited overdubs and a precise Undo/Redo function, it allows real-time refinement of loops, ensuring seamless adjustments to layered recordings. 24-bit uncompressed audio processing preserves sound quality with exceptional clarity, while the rugged metal chassis ensures long-lasting durability, so the Ditto Mic Looper is an ideal companion for stage and studio alike.
Featuring just two footswitches and a single rotary knob, the Ditto Mic Looper is designed for intuitive, hands-free operation. The Loop footswitch controls recording, playback, and overdubbing, while the Stop footswitch provides instant loop pausing and clearing - eliminating the need for disruptive double-tapping. A long press on the Loop switch activates Undo/Redo, enabling quick corrections mid-performance. The rotary level knob allows precise volume adjustment of the looped audio, helping users balance layers effectively. Additionally, two selectable looping modes (Record/Play/Overdub and Record/Overdub/Play) offer flexibility to suit different looping styles.
Designed for seamless integration into vocal and acoustic instrument setups, the TC Helicon Ditto Mic Looper features a balanced XLR input and output, ensuring compatibility with most PA systems and audio interfaces. It supports both dynamic and condenser microphones, thanks to its always-on 32V phantom power (though ribbon microphones are not supported). For even greater flexibility, the looper can be controlled directly from the TC-Helicon MP-75 or Sennheiser e835 FX microphones, allowing vocalists to trigger loop commands without using the footswitches. The Ditto Mic Looper can also be used in conjunction with other effects pedals, adding harmonies, reverb, or delay to loops either pre or post-recording.
TC-Helicon was founded in 2000 as a subsidiary of TC Electronic in cooperation with IVL Technologies Ltd. and has since specialised in voice recording technology. TC-Helicon focuses primarily on portable audio interfaces. The product range also includes various signal processors designed for the voice, in the form of effect pedals or compact devices with microphone stand mounts. Since 2015, TC Helicon has belonged to Music Tribe, the holding company of Behringer, which has brought brands such as Midas and Klark Teknik under one roof.
The Intelligent Mic Gain technology automatically optimises input levels, removing the need for manual adjustments, while the 24-bit uncompressed audio processing captures every performance with high fidelity, preserving both subtle nuances and dynamic peaks. A USB port allows for firmware updates, keeping the pedal's features up to date. The included 12V power supply ensures reliable operation in any setting, while its sturdy metal construction guarantees years of roadworthiness - making this the perfect looper for vocalists, beatboxers, acoustic instrumentalists, and live looping performers.
