After trying 5Bs and ?extreme? 5Bs by all major brands I think I found my ideal drumsticks in the Tama Oak Lab Resonator. They?re made of Japanese oak, that is harder than hickory (the usual choice for drumsticks), and they are slightly longer (4 mm) and heavier than the standard 5B, therefore they are more durable and have more punch than the usual 5B (although they are easy to control). A good choice for anyone looking for something a little punchier than 5B, without venturing in the realm of 2Bs.
