The Shure GLXD24R+/Beta58 is a digital wireless system that includes a dynamic handheld microphone transmitter, and its dual-band design operates in the 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequency ranges with a transmission output of 10mW, which provides a range of up to 60m. The system's automatic frequency management technology means that it always selects the signal frequency with the best reception, and it can also switch to interference-free carrier frequencies during operation without any loss of audio signal. The scope of delivery also includes a rechargeable lithium ion battery for the transmitter, a power adapter for the receiver, a carrying case, and a rack-mounting kit.

Recharging made easy

The Shure GLXD24R+/Beta58 generates a digital output signal according to two different standards, and the system additionally includes a USB-C interface to make firmware updates easy to install. Two different options are available for charging the lithium ion battery: The transmitter's USB-C connection or the battery charging socket on the front of the receiver. At the heart of the microphone is Shure's popular Beta58A dynamic capsule, whose supercardioid polar pattern suppresses sound coming from the sides and rear, and concentrates the mic capture primarily on the signal coming from in front. The receiver's LC display indicates which group and channel is active and how much battery life remains (in hours and minutes) as well as the audio volume level, signal gain level, and more. The incoming signal can be fed to a mixing desk via the XLR output, while amplifiers and small active PA systems can be fed using 6.35mm jack cables.

And fans of rackmount installations will no doubt appreciate the 19" rack compatibility of the receiver, which measures 19.7cm in width and 4.2cm in height and features rear-mounted antennae. As mentioned above, a rack-mounting kit is included in the scope of delivery to make this process as easy as possible.

A tireless performer

The Shure GLXD24R+/Beta58 is a versatile wireless solution that is not restricted to operation with the matching handheld transmitter: Shure additionally offers a pocket transmitter (availabe separately) to allow the receiver to be used in conjunction with lavalier microphones and headsets, and this is also suitable for instrument signals. Whatever the case may be, users can look forward to up to 12 hours of operation on a single battery charge using the transmitters in this system, and the battery level indicator makes it easy to see when the next recharge is needed. Even if only one transmitter can be used with the receiver at once, it is still possible to couple it with two transmitters simultaneously, allowing the user to change microphones or instruments much more quickly. Last but not least, the stationary receiver features a backlit display with three different brightness settings - a blessing on dark stages.

Super Funkmikro

Ich habe mir das Shure GLXD24R+/Beta58 zugelegt um ein Funkmikro für Gesang (auch auf lauten Bühnen) zu haben, aber auch für Vorträge, Interviews etc..
Ich konnte das Mikro nun für Gesang und ein Interview testen und bin wirklich begeistert.
Klanglich ist es beta58-gewohnt präsent und kann mittels EQ sehr schön auf die Stimme angepasst werden. Durch die Superniere ist es bei Reden selbst bei 15 cm Abstand vom Mund noch erstaunlich rückkopplungsarm verstärkbar. Den Gain am Receiver hatte ich auf 6 dB eingestellt. Den Vorverstärker ähnlich hoch, wie bei einem kabelgebundenen SM58.
Durch die automatische Frequenzsuche war das Audiosignal immer tadellos.
Die Akkulaufzeit von angegebenen 12 h erreicht meiner Einschätzung nach in der Realität vll. 10-11 h, was aber mehr als ausreichend ist.

J'ai acheté récemment le micro HF SHURE GLXD24R +/ Beta 58 en remplacement d'un ancien AudioTechnica et j'avoue avoir été impressionnée par le saut de génération ! le SHURE est à la fois léger, d'une définition parfaite, une "patate" permettant d'assurer des scènes en extérieur avec puissance, une autonomie très appréciable . Le pris est élevé (comme la tendance actuelle) mais je ne regrette pas cet achat qui m'assure de belles presta derrière le mic.
Une batterie supplémentaire me semble utile, même si le temps de charge est relativement court. Il faut aussi prévoir une mallette de transport et protection !
