For electric basses with four-knob layout, side socket and battery compartment
Active preamp for passive pickups
Four-knob layout with control options for master volume / balance / vintage tone control (P/P) / treble and bass (stacked)
Push/pull function on the VTC control for preamp bypass
Longer cables between the potentiometers to ensure installation in basses other than Sadowsky basses
Screw terminals on the balance potentiometer for solder-free installation of the pickups' hot & ground cables
Without control plate
Frequency range: 5 - 50,000 Hz
Bass control offers +18 dB boost at 40 Hz
Treble control offers +18 dB boost at 4 kHz
Total harmonic distortion (THD) 0.18% at 1 kHz
Power supply with a 9V battery
Current consumption 9 mA
Up to 870 hours of battery life
1 MOhm input impedance
Output impedance 1 kOhm

Note: When installing a Sadowsky onboard preamp in a MetroExpress bass without a control plate (Modern, Verdine White and M/J models), the holes in the body for the potentiometers must be enlarged. This is due to the fact that the factory-fitted potentiometers of the MetroExpress have a smaller diameter than the potentiometers of the Sadowsky Onboard Preamp

Great sound, but ….

I bought this set with a PJ set of pickups for a bass that was being built for me. When the builder had installed everything according to the schematic combining both pickups resulted in a lower volume. Apparently two wires were soldered wrong in the factory. When this was corrected the sound was great.

J’ai acheté cette électronique pour remplacer celle d’une ibanez ehb que je ne supportais plus, surtout le médium paramétrique particulièrement pas terrible comparé à une Sire par exemple.
J’ai longtemps hésité puis me suis intéressé à ce preamp sadowsky, marque qui jouit d’une bonne réputation .
Livraison rapide et sans accroc comme toujours chez Thomann et direction le luthier.
Donc c’est tout chaud car j’ai récupéré la basse hier, verdict :
Ça change car les potards grave et aiguës n’ont pas de point milieu mais sont très efficaces .
Le VTC est intéressant mais pour le moment je n’ai pas encore trouvé son utilité mais ça viendra.
La surprise par contre, c’est le potard de blend, il fonctionne à l’envers par rapport à tout ce que j’ai connu, faut s’habituer.
Pour le moment je suis très satisfait à voir à l’usage

Je m'attendais a que ca soit plus coloré que ca mais non tres bien montage tres facile, tres efficasse
pas décu , mon brillant que mon ancien john east , tres bon choix pour le prix tres correct ..seul défaut on peu pas installer de micro actif avec alim
cela aurais été interressant ..a voir sur le long terme maintenant
