A proper home for those pedals

Measuring 470 x 330mm (L x D), the RockBoard QUAD 4.1 provides space for seven to twelve effects pedals, which can be arranged across three rows. All pedals are easily accessed and operated by foot courtesy of the 10° angled board surface. Produced from cold-rolled aluminium sheet, the board's robust yet lightweight (approximately 1.5kg) construction can more than endure the rigours of life on tour. The black powder coating not only looks cool but is also resistant to external influences. A unique feature of the RockBoard pedalboard is the slot system, which allows pedals to be mounted with a single click. The RockBoard QUAD 4.1 also features suitable slots or ports for connecting other accessories, such as power supplies and LED lights, and comes in a robust flight case with sufficient quantities of self-adhesive hook and loop tape.

Creating space and order

As a player's pedal collection increases, so does the tangled weave of power and patch cables, where achieving a neat and space-saving pedal setup seems nigh on impossible. This is where the pedalboard comes in - bringing order to the user's effects pedal arrangement. The necessary power supply can be mounted underneath the board, with "underground" cable routing. The pedals themselves can be securely fastened in parallel using hook and loop tape or the click system. RockBoard's ultra-flat and flexible patch cables will also prove helpful here. The QUAD 4.1 is ideal for guitarists and bassists who prefer a manageable number of pedals, but also serves perfectly as a "second board", providing essential effects at home or for recording sessions.

Das Rockboard QUAD 4.1 C ist tatsächlich sehr leicht und robust. Aber man muss zum Beispiel die Klett bänder schneiden, weil sonst alle Leitungsdurchführungen mit Klett-band überklebt sind.
Die Schrauben für das Mod sind so schlecht, dass man die Gewinde nachschneiden oder das Loch aufbohren muss. Ich habe es nicht geschafft eine Schraube durch zu bekommen. Auch nicht so wie es in der Anleitung oder dem Video Tutorial auf der Webseite beschrieben ist.
Es ist ein leichtes Gehäuse mit ein paar Aussparungen, was ja auch reicht, aber der Preis ist deutlich zu hoch angesetzt. Für den Preis sollten mindestens die Bohrungen passen.

Il y a de la place, c'est du solide.

Le seul point qui pourrait être négatif est le poids mais le prix a payé pour que tout soit bien protégé ;-)

Tolles board - guter Schutz

Ein wirklich tolles pedalboard, mit flightcase ein guter Schutz auf dem Transport. Durch Gummifüße steht es auch auf unebenen Grund stabil. Das Klett für die Effekte muss man zwar selber draufkleben, dadurch kann man aber alles genau so anpassen, wie man es braucht. Die Kabel können sauber auf der Unterseite "versteckt" werden. Volle Punktzahl für die Verarbeitung - es sind sogar zwei Ersatz-Gummifüßchen und Schrauben dabei, falls mal eine verlohren gehen sollte. Zusätzlich gibt es noch ein paar Kabelbinder.
Mein Netzteil habe ich einfach auch mit Klett auf der Unterseite angebracht - hält gut.
Einen Stern muss ich im Handling abziehen: Es sind keine Griffe dran, um das board leicht aus dem Flightcase zu zeben, da aber das Klettband wirklich gut klettet, kann man es an zwei Effekten einfach rausheben.
Dazu habe ich nich die MOD 1 All in One Patchbay gekauft. Da ich sowohl direkt, als auch über den Effektweg des Amps gehe, habe ich einen praktischen Anschlußterminal und muss nichts an den Effekten verändern/stecken.
Alles in Allem kann ich es nur empfehlen.

Sindssygt fedt board, med plads til mere end andre klassiske Rail-boards af samme mål. Flight-casen er også super solid. Det eneste jeg kunne have ønsket var et lidt bedre håndtag, da det hurtigt bliver tungt at bære på, og håndtaget er meget tyndt og derfor bliver der placeret meget vægt et sted i håndfladen.

En anden ting der er værd at have med er at hvis du monterer Rockboards LED lys på siden af boardet, kan det ikke længere være i kassen. Det kunne have været en fed detalje, hvis der havde været skåret en lomme i skummet til det.

Alt i alt meget tilfreds.
