Cutting distortion
I have been for a while looking for a cutting, open sounding metal pedal, and this didn’t disappoint me, like a few others. The off- channel sounds like standard dist, then you can lift up two levels. The blue position is general metal, with the red you can really freak out and cut through any mix. On a recent jam session I did just that, the pedal was put in front of a Marshall 40W, using the yellow channel on the amp, the sound was f.. insane, real big, stadium-like. It’s mid-trebly sharp, especially when plugged directly into a DAW setup, so if you’re a chugger, look elsewhere, but it really fits my style

Excellent pedal for modern high gain tones
This is a great sounding distortion for modern tones.
I use it straight into a power amp & cab - the gain can be set pretty high without losing clarity, and it doesn't get harsh in the upper mids/highs.
