Remo 14" Ambassador Ebony

I've bought a full set of ebony heads to have a darker sound and, let me say, it went ok but the snare: it's really too difficult to tune it and it's too different from a standard (let me say usual) sound. I'm not a pro and I was not able to tune it with satisfaction so I'm not using it, but it's not a product fault for sure.

I have fitted this ebony head on the bottom of my TOM and I am using a pinstripe on the top which is a perfect combination for me . The overall sound is immense with plenty of projection

This head is superb and works really well on my Yamaha Hybrid Maple kit. They are super punchy but also have great resonance and warmth and low end as well. They can be tuned high or low but for my liking I prefer them tuned lower. You won’t be disappointed with this head. I know they aren’t cheap but you’re investing into your sound and this choice of head will not let you down, in fact it will bring you many compliments. I also use the Emperor Suedes as well for a thicker ply option which really turns faces…

Great resonant head from remo. Very much industry standard. Can be used as a top head but i do prefer to use a remo pinstripe. Especially great for rock and metal. Great fro live and studio.
