Goed voor normale lapsteel

Naast de Duesenberg gebruik ik de HarleyBenton voor ‘scheurwerk’ in standaardstemming. Daar zijn deze snaren erg goed en betaalbaar voor.

Avoid this set of strings

Very short length of strings, the core starts before the nut using a standard Weissenborn. The 018 string strangely is 15 cm longer than the others.
The sound is ok but nothing special, I will not buy another set from Pyramid

Having recently bought the Harley Benton Slider guitar and deciding to make a new"nut"as it was not possible to buy a left handed version,it made sense to fit new strings.Being new to this type of guitar it was a case of taking a chance on the strings to fit-so I chose the"Pyramid Custom Set". They are really good with a bright but not strident tone,seem to hold tuning well and make me happy that I seem to have made the right choice.I would have no hesitation in buying the same make and gauges again.

Great for Bluesy Lap Steel

If you want to play Open E or Open D Lap Steel get these; they will save you a lot of trouble. They are suggested for Open D, but the extra tension works for me tuning them up to Open E. All depends on your scale length; check out John Ely's website for Hawaiian Guitar for the definitive guide.
