Powered by a 5W class D power stage, the Spark GO features a 2" custom speaker. Those looking to tap into the full potential of the Spark GO can access 33 amp models and 43 effects via the Spark App, where they can also explore and download thousands of additional tones created by others on the ToneCloud platform. Leuk oefenversterkertje, op zich prima om lekker mee te oefenen.
Maar de software, de app dus, is niet top naar mijn mening. Er zit veel verschil in volume met versterkertypes. De effectpedalen maken weinig indruk, de verschillen in instellingen zijn vaak minimaal of niet hoorbaar. Gebruik de bluetooth om spotify te koppelen, dat werkt prima. Wat niet lukt, en in de reviews van de playstore staan al vermeldingen van een jaar geleden, is het opslaan van een opgenomen video. Hoe moeilijk kan het zijn.
Kortom goede hardware, matige software.

Bit troublesome with connectig, but worth it

I had some problems with connecting my phone with the spark app, but I like it. Its not a gigging amp (duh) but it works well for using it home, on the road and with friends.

Great portable amp

This is a great portable amp. It's incredibly lightweight, it offers a bunch of effects through the app, and it can serve as an interface. With a USB-A to USB-C adapter I was able to connect it to the phone and record music. You can hook it to your guitar strap, and all you need is a short patch cable, 20-30 cm, and you can walk around and play some music. It accepts a bluetooth source, so it can serve as a bluetooth speaker. Finally, it has a 3.5mm output for headphones. It is a great light travel amp which you can take anywhere. I bought it primarily to use with my Traveler silent guitar, and it works great for that purpose.

I'm knocking off one star because I find the speaker underwhelming, even for such a small device. It produces the volume of tone, but the tone is thin. Good headphones fix this issue. The app is a bit buggy. Sometimes it crashes and I have to restart it again. But nothing too dramatic.

All this notwithstanding, I'm absolutely happy with this purchase, and would recommend this little amp if you're looking for something to use when on the road, and also to record some music outdoors.

Solid for its price

Overall, a good speaker/audio interface that delivers surprisingly loud sound for its size. It’s perfect for beginners or anyone who just wants to play at home or for friends and family.

I bought it in 2023, and it still works well. However, I did run into one issue: one day, the sound suddenly became much quieter. I discovered that the volume would only return to normal if I pressed on the device physically. I decided to open it, which was quite difficult and inconvenient, and found that one of the solder joints on a chip had come loose, causing one of the legs to detach.

Luckily, my brother was able to help me solder it back, and it’s been working fine ever since. I’m not sure if this issue will happen again, but I assume it might just be a problem with my specific unit or revision.

Overall, it’s a solid product for the price, and despite that one issue, I’m still satisfied with the performance.
