Reactor control centre

Positive Grid's Reactor Control is a footswitching system that ideally complements the company's Reactor series amplifiers. This compact floor unit features six sturdy metal footswitches and gives players an easy way to adjust key parameters without constantly having to reach for their amp's controls or open the Reactor app – including access to their presets and effects, the onboard tuner, and the effects loop. The Reactor Control can be connected via cable just like a conventional footswitch or operated completely wirelessly via Bluetooth, while its inbuilt rechargeable battery, which is easily charged via USB-C, provides up to 150 hours of operation. The dedicated LEDs for the individual footswitches additionally provide enhanced orientation on dark stages.

Two modes on tap

The Positive Grid Reactor Control is designed to allow direct access to the Reactor amps' essential functions without having to spend a long time programming it first. The six footswitches perform specific tasks depending on the selected operating mode: In Preset mode, players can quickly recall individual sounds and entire banks of presets as well as activate the effects loop, while Effect Toggle mode replicates the functions of a conventional pedalboard, allowing individual effects to be switched on and off within specific presets. An expression pedal can additionally be connected for use as a volume or wah pedal, or to control a range of other parameters in real time, while the status LEDs and RGB display allow the user to keep a clear overview wherever they are. Getting started is also child's play, since the Reactor Control is ready to go as soon as it is connected to the amplifier.

At the core of any Reactor

The Positive Grid Reactor Control is an essential piece of gear for anyone who wants to take their Reactor amp out of the home environment and into the rehearsal room or onto the stage. Guitarists who juggle a wide range of very different sounds will particularly appreciate the option of directly controlling their presets and effects, or even the effects loop, via footswitch without having to manually adjust the amp's controls. The choice of two operating modes means the Reactor Control can function like a classic channel switching system or a compact effects board, while its ease of integration means that even technophobes will be able to quickly get to grips with it.

About Positive Grid

Positive Grid was founded in the Californian city of San Diego in 2013, and from the very beginning the company’s mission statement was to bridge the gap between mobile technologies such as smartphones, as well as the potential offered by the digital world, and the analogue feel of guitar and bass equipment. The company’s pursuit of this goal has produced a range of exciting products, the most significant of which is undoubtedly the award-winning BIAS FX 2 amp and effects modelling software platform. With its "Spark Amp" series, Positive Grid has combined the limitless possibilities that the digital world provides with conventional guitar and bass amplifiers. Positive Grid’s spirit of innovation and the speed with which new developments are produced is a clear indication of what this still relatively young company has in store for the future.

Connections on the rear of the Positive Grid Reactor Control

Control without the chaos

The price that players usually pay for having a wide palette of different presets and effects at their fingertips is that they have to keep looking over at their amp's control panel. However, the Positive Grid Reactor Control puts an end to all that, giving guitarists the option of seamlessly switching between sounds in Preset mode or simulating a conventional pedalboard in Effect Toggle mode. Increased flexibility is provided by the Reactor Control's Bluetooth interface, which means it can be connected to the amplifier without the need for any cables. At the same time, the connections on the rear panel allow players to integrate both outboard effects units and expression pedals into their setup and configure it however they need it.
