Mess-free application

Every guitar owner should clean and maintain their instrument on a regular basis, even if it's only once in a blue moon, and the perfect occasion is during string replacement. When the strings have all been removed (which master luthiers assure us won't do any harm to the guitar, regardless of whether it's electric or acoustic), the oil can be easily applied to the fingerboard via the specially designed applicator and worked into the wood using a brush, such as MusicNomad's special brush (available separately). After ten minutes, any residual oil that was not absorbed by the wood should be removed with a clean cloth.

Geef je fretboard zo snel mogelijk voeding, ook al is de bas nieuw. Ik heb 4 bassen, met de eerste had ik dat niet gedaan. Resultaat: kurkdroog fretboard dat vatbaar is voor vuil, vet, en erger: dat barstjes kan krijgen in het hout.
Niet elke olie blijkt geschikt te zijn. Reviews bekeken, naar het schijnt is de F-one Oil voor alle types hout geschikt.
Ik kan alleen beamen dat ik de 4 bassen hiermee behandeld heb (verschillende houtsoorten), en dat het resultaat uitstekend is.
Het hout blaakt van gezondheid, ziet er beter uit. In de 4 gevallen is het fretboard donkerder van kleur geworden. Persoonlijk vind ik dat optisch een mooier resultaat geven. En het zal wel een idee zijn, maar ik heb de indruk dat de bas zelfs "beter speelt".
Voor de rest is de F-One geur- en reukloos.

Ik ben dermate tevreden dat ik in de toekomst niet ga experimenteren met andere oliën.

Ik gebruik Nomad fretboard reiniger samen met een staalwol van 00000. Dat is zeer zachte staalwol waarmee je niet alleen de olie in het hout krijgt maar ook de frets meteen polijst. Dubbele werking dus! Meestal laat ik het 5 minuten intrekken bij gitaren die ik vaker schoonmaak. Als ik een gitaar van een ander krijg om schoon te maken laat ik het langer intrekken, zo'n 10 minuten en herhaal dat daarna. Het resultaat is fantastisch voor elk donker soort hout. Ik gebruik het ook op maple maar dan zonder de staalwol. Dan gebruik ik een zachte doek, ook van MusicNomad. MusicNomad is wat ik altijd gebruik voor alles. Ik heb de reiniger, stringcleaner, schroevendraaier, afstelset, knipschaar voor snaren en de humidifier voor m'n akoestische gitaren. Vanaf dag 1 blij met hun spullen. Werkt altijd! Geloof me, als dit niet werkt dan werkt niets meer!

The Best Fretboard Oil in The Market

Recently purchased this as I used to use it exclusively a decade ago. It had been pretty difficult to find F-One Oil in the EU market for a long time. Fortunately, Thomann has had these in stock for some time, excellent!

I believe it's the best 100% natural essential oil blend for your unfinished fingerboards. I was also using Sandberg Fingerboard Oil which is also a 100% natural oil. However, I find Music Nomad superior as they are a specialised company in this niche field.

I used to experiment with cold press essential oils made from lemon, citrus, mint and grape seeds for an alternative fretboard care oil. I had even written an article about this.

Almost all the other products (except Sandberg Fingerboard Oil) in the market are petroleum-based oils with added synthetic lemon (Limonene) molecules. (Check out my article on Google by searching for my nickname).

Basically, most of the time we buy mineral oil with added essence and fragrance. But F-One is different. It smells like nature!

If you are picky about what you put on your guitar fretboard, this is it! 100% recommended by a guitar nerd!

Works fine on roasted maple.

I use it on the whole roasted maple neck of a Jackson Pro Series HT7, works beautifully. It has no smell, it isn't sticky at all. I used to use Ernie Ball Wet Wipes before (those have a citrus scent). This one costs way less in the long run.
