Clear sound, Good value

This met the requirement for a low priced goose-neck microphone with double articulated stem and reasonably good sound quality (for use on a church lectern).

It's not perfect; the sound is a little thin in the bass and there seemed to be a mid-range peak around 1 kHz that needs about -3dB cut. But once equalised it stood up well against other vocal capacitor mics and is fine for speech. The off axis response is very good, useful if the speaker is moving around.

The gooseneck is rather long, the manual mentions other models with shorter necks, but this seems to be the only version that Thoman sell.

Well made, looks good, but very prone to popping

Well made and attractive product which I bought primarily for talk-back at my studio's console, where it works really well. I bought another as a discreet vocal mic over keyboards, and soon found how prone to popping it is. Adding the supplied windshield made virtually no difference (pop shields need to be spaced from a microphone). So if you are buying this for singing, you need to come up with a suitable way of adding a discreet popshield which as yet I haven't. Bear in mind the good value cost of this mic, we should not expect fab resistance to pops in the first place!

Great value for money for a small church. Doesn't have problems with an induction loop.

Decent goodneck mic stays in position and sound is OK

Long gooseneck, it stays in position nicely - i.e. you bend it, it doesn't spring back (unlike some). I put a big windsock on it because otherwise people breath on it and it booms. But for not much money it does a great job in my church setting.
