Acoustic drum set meets quiet practice kit
At the core of the Millenium Hybrid Practice Drum Set is the Millenium MX420 Studio Set, which comprises a 20" bass drum, 10", 12", and 14" toms, and a 14" x 5.5" wooden snare drum, all of which feature a multi-ply construction that combines birch and poplar wood, together with a cymbal set consisting of a 14" hi-hat, a 16" crash, and a 20" ride and a complete set of hardware, including a drum stool. For quiet practice, this bundle additionally includes a set of four double-layered Millenium QuHead mesh heads and the complete Millenium Still Series Low Volume cymbal set, featuring a hi-hat, two crashes, and a ride, as well an extra cymbal boom stand. And since looks are just as important as features, the Hybrid Practice Drum Set sports an attractive Blue Lining foil finish to make it a real eye-catcher.

Selected woods and professional features
The developers certainly paid a great deal of attention to detail when designing the Hybrid Practice Drum Set. The bass drum’s wooden hoops with colour-matching inlays, the tom fixtures equipped with ball joints and, finally, the highly reliable and functional hardware, all give the impression of a much more expensive drum set. The drum memory locks located in key positions, the neatly screwed-on badges, and the Blue Lining finish – reminiscent of classic vintage drum sets – certainly add to that impression. Last but not least, the fact that the nine-ply shells also include multiple layers of birch as well as poplar is another real surprise in this price range.

A real chameleon
If you are just starting out on the drums and are looking for a complete yet inexpensive drum kit, the Millenium Hybrid Practice Set is the perfect choice. The most popular drum and cymbal sizes have been selected and cater for many different styles. The 20" bass drum is full-sounding enough for Rock, but also does an excellent job with Jazz if tuned a little higher. The three toms, with sizes of 10", 12", and 14" respectively, are equally versatile. The 14" x 5.5" snare drum is a real all-rounder and is equipped with a robust strainer mechanism and a 20-wire snare. The components are all adjustable and can be easily adapted to suit players of different heights. To practise noiselessly, simply swap the drum heads and the cymbal set and you can continue drumming to your heart’s content, even in noise-sensitive environments.
